MINUTES
JUNE 2, 2009
A regular meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to
order by Vice Chair Franklin.
PRESENT: Agency Members Adolph, Evans, Henderson, Sniff,
Vice Chair Franklin
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC COMMENT -None
CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA -Confirmed
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Henderson/Sniff to approve
the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of May 19, 2009, as submitted. Motion
carried by a vote of 4-0-1, Agency Member Evans abstaining.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. APPROVAL OF DEMAND REGISTER DATED JUNE 2, 2009.
MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff/Henderson to
approve the Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion carried
unanimously.
BUSINESS SESSION
1. CONSIDERATION OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REORGANIZATION.
There were no changes to the staff report as submitted and on file in
the City Clerk Department.
MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff/Henderson to elect
Agency Member Franklin as Chairperson. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Adolph/Evans to elect
Agency Member Sniff as Vice Chair. Motion carried unanimously.

RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION
CLOSED SESSION
Executive Director Genovese did not participate in Item No. 2 due to a
potential conflict of interest due to the proximity of his residence.
Agency Member Evans also did not participate in Item No. 2 as there was
insufficient time to verify that her residence is more than 500 feet from the
subject property.
1. Conference with Agency's real property negotiator, Douglas R. Evans,
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 concerning potential
terms and conditions of acquisition and/or disposition of real property
located southeast of the Miles Avenue and Washington Street
intersection and north of the Whitewater Storm Channel. Property
Owner/Negotiator: CP Development La Quinta, LLC, Richard Oliphant.
2. Conference with Agency's real property negotiator, Douglas R. Evans,
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 concerning potential
terms and conditions of acquisition and/or disposition of certain real
property located on the west side of Washington Street, north of
Avenue 48 (APN: 643-090-0241. Property Owner/Negotiator: John
Laing Homes, Steve Bari.
The Redevelopment Agency meeting was reconvened with no decisions
being made in Closed Session which require reporting pursuant to
Government Code Section 54957.1 (Brown Act).
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business the meeting-was adjourned.
