Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brummel:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that your building permit, # 13327, for the project
located at 51-285 Calle Paloma has expired by limitation per the requirements of UBC Section
303(d).
No further work may be performed on site until a new permit has been issued. To issue a new
permit we will need updated workman's compensation information,, contractor information, and -
fees. Should you obtain a new permit, you must complete the next required inspection within 180
days of issuance. If you are for any reason unable to do this we will not be able to extend. this
permit due to the length of the project thus far. The code does not demand a permit be extended,
but it may be extended, at the building official's discretion.
If you intend to obtain a new permit, you must do so prior to Friday, February 23, 1996. Please
contact me for the necessary, fees and information we will need for the new permit. If for any
reason we have not heard from you prior the above date we will begin the abatement process as
we've discussed previously.
I do appreciate you keeping me informed as to where you are in this process, and look forward to
resolving it with you soon.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brummel,
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that your building permit #13327, for a single family
dwelling located at 51-285 Calle Paloma, will expire January 24,1996.
A new permit, for the above project was issued to you on March 31, 1994. No inspections were
f called for or performed from that date until January 24,1995. At that time the permit was, for all
practical purposes expired per UBC Section 303(d). On July 24, 1995, the permit did expire by
limitation per the same code section, and was extended by the Building Official, and is good for
180 days without an inspection.
Should you be unable to pass your next inspection, for framing, rough electric, rough mechanical,
and plumbing top -out by January 24, 1996, the permit will expire. After this date no work may be
performed until a new permit has been issued. Should you wish to obtain a new permit at that
time, the project would require a subsequent plan review and payment of new fees excluding
infrastructure. After January 24, 1996, I will be left no recourse but to turn this matter over to
our Code Compliance Division and our City Attorney's Office in order to expedite legal remedy,
which may include a notice and order to demolish the structure in conformance with The Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, Section 202._
Please realize that we would much prefer to perform the framing inspection prior to the permit
expiration. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have as I would be pleased
