documents to exchange property between you and your neighbor. The recording of a lot
line adjustment does not exchange title to property between two or more different owners.
Only a Grant Deed or a Quitclaim Deed describing the portion to be transferred can
exchange title between two parties.
The Assessor's office can not process the lot line adjustment until the proper
documents have been recorded. We suggest that you contact a title company or an
attorney for assistance.

On April 4, 1996, we sent your request for Lot Line Adjustment to the Riverside County Recorder's
Office for recordation. On May 1, 1996, we received a letter from the Riverside County Assessor's
Office indicating they could not record the lot line adjustment. Subsequent to that on May 13, 1996,
we received in the mail the recorded Grant Deeds for your lot line adjustment.
Enclosed are original copies of your recorded Grant Deeds for the lot line adjustment. We have kept
