The Community Development Department has reviewed and approved the above referenced
application. Enclosed are the original approved Exhibits A (legals for Lot 1 and Lot 17) and B
(parcel plat); these items must be filed for recordation by Riverside County along with revised
grant deeds for the subject properties. A copy of the recorded deeds must be submitted to the
Community Development Department along with any future permit application(s). Please
prepare your grant deeds to reflect Exhibits A and B, as approved, and to indicate the subject
case number on all documentation filed for record.
As the applicant, it is your responsibility to record these documents. The City cannot file them
for recordation on your behalf as we have no ownership interest. The Riverside County
Recorder's office can be reached at 909-486-7000 for further information on fees, etc.
Enclosed is a letter to the County Recorder verifying City approval of the adjustment, and
requesting its recordation.
This application was sent to utility agencies which may have easements affected by this
approval. While no adverse comments were received, the City has approved this adjustment
based on zoning compliance and correctness of the metes and bounds legal descriptions. Any
potential conflicts with recorded utility easements should be investigated by the developer at
the earliest opportunity. By execution of this approval, the applicant agrees to indemnify,
defend, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta from any legal claim or litigation arising out
of the City's approval of this lot line adjustment.

KSL LAND CORPORATION, a Delaware corporation ("KSL Land"), KSL DESERT RESORTS, INC., a Delaware
corporation ("KSL Resorts") (collectively, "Grantor") and PGA WEST RESIDENTIAL ASSOCIATION, a
California non-profit mutual benefit corporation ("Grantee") as owners of the real property reconfigured by that certain
Lot Line Adjustment No. 2000-329 recorded as Instrument No. 2000- on , 2000 in the
Official Records of Riverside County, California ("LLA 2000-329") hereby record this Grant Deed and
Acknowledgment to correct any merger of interest which may have arisen as a result of the revised lot configurations

EXHIBIT A
RESERVING UNTO, KSL Land and/or KSL Resorts together with the right to grant and transfer all
or a portion of the same, easements and rights for the benefit of KSL Land, its successors and assigns, and KSL
Resorts, its successors and assigns, for the benefit of, and appurtenant to, real property in said City, County, and State
owned by KSL Resorts described on Exhibit X attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference (the "Golf
Property"), and any successors in title to the Golf Property (the "Benefited Parties"), which shall bind Grantee and any
successors in title to the Property burdened with such easements as follows:
A. Oil and Mineral Rights. All oil, minerals, natural gas, and other hydrocarbons.by whatsoever
name known, geothermal resources, metalliferous or other ores, and all products derived from any of the foregoing,
that may be within or under the Property, and all rights associated with the foregoing, together with the perpetual right
of drilling, mining, exploring and operating therefor and storing in and removing the same from said land or any other
land, including the right to whipstock or directionally drill and mine from lands other than the Property, oil or gas
wells, tunnels and shafts into, through or across the subsurface of the Property and to bottom such whipstocked or
directionally drilled wells, tunnels and shafts under and beneath or beyond the exterior limits thereof, and to redrill,
retunnel, equip, maintain, repair, deepen and operate any such wells or mines without, however, the right to drill, mine,
store, explore and operate on or through the surface, or the upper five hundred (500) feet of the subsurface of the
Property;
B. Water Rights. The right and power to use or utilize any and all water rights or interests in
water rights no matter how acquired by the Benefited Parties, and all water rights or interests in water rights that may
be within, under or on the Property, whether such water rights shall be riparian, overlying, appropriative, percolating,
prescriptive or contractual; provided, however, that the reservation does not reserve to, or for the benefit of, Benefited
Parties any right to enter upon the surface of any portion of the Property in the exercise of such rights or to drill or bore
for water, and install, maintain, replace or restore water wells, pumping stations, water lines, or other facilities for the
extraction or the transportation of water;
C. Easements. Nonexclusive easements as follows:
(1) Ingress and Egress Over the Property. Ingress and egress over the Property as it
may be mapped, modified, enlarged, replatted, or realigned from time to time;
(2) Encroachment of Golf Balls. For the encroachment of golf balls resulting from
golfing activities on the Golf Property, including without limitation, the flight, passage and landing
of golf balls on, across and over the Property, or any portion thereof,
(3) Utility Easements.
(a) For the construction, installation, use, maintenance, repair, replacement and
reconstruction of lines, cables, wires, conduits, or other devices for the transmission of
electricity for lighting, heating, power, telephone, television and other purposes, storm water
drains and pipes, water systems, irrigation lines or sprinkler systems, water heading and gas
lines or pipes and any similar public or quasi -public improvements or facilities on, over,
under, through and across the Property; and
(b) For ingress and egress over the Property to the extent reasonably necessary
to access any of such facilities.
(4) For Benefit of Golf Property. For the, construction of and/or utilization of
underground ways and/or tunnels under and beneath, or bridges over, roads, walkways, utility lines
and/or other lines now or hereafter located within the Common Area so as to provide pedestrian and
vehicular access between portions of the Golf Property for golf carts, trucks, and other golf and golf
course -related vehicles, traffic and usage, and for pedestrian and vehicular ingress and egress to and

from and parking on the Golf Property and the improvements located thereon, (if parking areas are
a part of such development plan) roads, private streets, driveways, parking areas, golf cart paths,
walkways, bridges, tunnels and other ways now or hereafter located upon the Golf Property, by the
Benefited Parties and the customers, guests, permittees, invitees, agents, employees, contractors and
vendors of a Benefited Party (the "Easement Users"), which include, without limitation, access to Golf
Property under construction (and to be constructed) to enable the transport of supplies, materials and
labor to the Golf Property of such Benefited Party.
(5) Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the use of the Property by
the Benefited Parties for the foregoing easement purposes shall be subject to the following terms and
conditions:
(a) Benefited Parties shall have the right to hook up or connect to utility lines or
other utility services now or hereafter located upon or within the Property provided that such
utility services are metered to such Benefited Party and provided further that such use shall
not unreasonably disturb services then being provided thereby;
(b) The use and enjoyment of the easement rights granted as set forth herein by
the Easement Users shall be at no cost or expense to Grantee, or any successor in title to the
portion of the Property that is burdened by the easements and any damage or destruction of
any improvements caused by any of the Easement Users in the exercise of the easement rights
acquired hereby shall be repaired and reconstructed by the Benefited Party of such Easement
User;
. (c) Benefited Party shall not permit any liens to attach to the Property, or any
improvements located thereon, by reason of the use or exercise of the easements reserved
hereunder, by such Benefited Party.
Taxes/Assessments. Current Taxes and Assessments.
2. Record Matters. All other covenants, conditions, restrictions, reservations, rights, rights -of -way
and easements of record as well as any of such matters that are apparent.

Note 1. "Section 12413.1, California Insurance Code became effective January 1, 1990. This
legislation deals with the disbursement of funds deposited with any title entity acting in
an escrow or subescrow capacity. The law requires that all funds be deposited and
collected by the title entity's escrow and/or subescrow account prior to disbursement
of any funds. Some methods of funding may subject funds to a holding period which
must expire before any funds may be disbursed. In order to avoid any such delays, all
fundings should be done through wire transfer, certified check or checks drawn on
California financial institutions.
Note 2. The charge where an order is cancelled after the issuance of the report of title, will be
that amount which in the opinion of the Company is proper compensation for the
services rendered or the purpose for which the report is used, but in no event shall said
charge be less than the minimum amount required under Section 12404.1 of the
Insurance Code of the State of California. If the report cannot be cancelled "no fee"

IF YOU BOUGHT, SOLD OR REFINANCED A HOME (RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY)
IN CALIFORNIA BETWEEN JULY 1, 1989 AND FEBRUARY 28, 1997, PLEASE READ
THE FOLLOWING:
Pursuant to a Settlement Agreement in a class action lawsuit filed in the
Superior Court for Los Angeles County, a settlement agreement has been entered into
that provides persons who bought, sold or refinanced residential real property in the
State of California between July 1, 1989 and February 28, 1997, with certain rights.

Chicago Title Company, Gateway Title Company, Benefit Land Title Company or Fidelity
National Title Insurance Company, you have the following rights:
If one of these companies previously handled a residential escrow
transaction for you that involved residential real property in which a mortgage,
promissory note, or similar debt instrument, repayment of which was secured by a duly
recorded deed of trust, was fully paid, satisfied or discharged and a reconveyance of
that deed of trust was executed and was delivered to one of those title companies for
recording but was inadvertently not recorded, you have the right to request that a
release of obligation or reconveyance be recorded in accordance with the terms of the
Settlement Agreement.
To obtain this right you must:
(1) Establish to the satisfaction of the title company
that you actually closed an escrow between July 1, 1989 and February 27, 1997,

RESIDENTIAL TITLE INSURANCE POLICY (6-1-87) EXCLUSIONS
In addition to the Exclusions, you are not insured against loss, costs, attorney's fees, and the expenses
resulting from:
1. Any rights, interests, or claims of parties in possession of the land not shown by the public records.

This exclusion does not apply to violations or the enforcement of these matters which appear in the
