cUMMENTS AND /OR RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Riverside County Department of Public Health has reviewed the plot plan submitted by
the applicant, Tectonic Construction, Inc., to gain approval to construct a three bedroom
maximum model dwelling, to be used as a temporary real estate office, on property located
at 51 -855 Avenida Vallejo, La Quinta.
This Department has no immediate objection to approval of plot plan 5564, as we have
definitive information available that domestic water from an approved source is existing
and can be furnished to the site by the Southern California Water Company, and we have
definitive information available relative to the disposal of domestic sewage to an
onsite subsurface sewage disposal system, consisting of a septic tank with seepage pit.
The size of the septic tank and effluent disposal area shall be determined based upon the
occupancy of the individual lot and our best knowledge of the soil porosity in the area.
There shall be an unoccupied area on the lot where sewage disposal, as required above,
may be installed in conformance with the current Uniform Plumbing Code. There shall be
an additional unoccupied area equal to 100% of the above required sewage disposal systems
for sewage disposal installation in case of failure. However, sewage disposal systems
are considered temporary and if sewage lines of a sewer district become available,
connection to the system should be made at that time.
