Although lotr-e glass is a coated product, for purposes of compliance. if you do nor hm•e an NFRC value for the SHGC. use tire uncoated ralues from Table 2-7. Low -e gloss is nor a tinted product. Glazing Area The area for glazing or fenestration products is calculated from the nominal (e.e.. 503(1) or touch opening dimensions. Doors: Anv door having glass must be entered in MICROPAS as glazing area. For am door with an IFRC ratios (doors Kith rnnore than 50 percent of their surface arca made up of Mass). the entire area of the door must be entered in MICROPAS as glazing area. since the product rating is for the entire door. For doors Kith 50 percent or less of their surface area made up of Mass enter either the entire door area as elazinc or the actual area of glass plus a tK•o inch Frame extending on all sides (the remaining door area is modeled as an OPAQUE SURFACE. The U -value and solar heat gain coefficient of the door is taken from Table 2-6 and Table 2-7 or manufacturer data. Greenhouse (garden) Windows: Greenhouse Kindow glazing area is calculated using the rough opening for the unit (see Figure 2-23). The typically hisher U -value of greenhouse windows accounts for additional heat loss from the projecting top, sides and bottom of the unit. w Glazing Orientation Orientation (azimuth) for fenestration products is always relative to the designated "front - orientation (referred to as the Plan Azimuth) (see Table 2-1). The designations Right' and 'Left' are from the perspective of someone outside- facing the front of the house. Also see Figure 2-18 (under opaque surfaces) for a sample diagram -0 1999 by Enercomp, fnc. 06/10/99 COl1PL/ANCE .39 All windows and glass doors will have wood frames with metal cladding and an NFRC U -factor of .55 or less and a SHGC of .45 or less with high performance Low -E glass except the entry door which can be single pane with default values. The 58PAV offers the same high quality you demand and receive from Carrier. The cabinet is constructed from a specially selected galvanized steel. There is also double protection for the cabinet. First, a galvanized steel substrate provides resistance to rusting. Then the cabinet is constructed of prepainted steel — the same high- quality finish found on refrigerators and dishwashers. The 58PAV offers a hot surface Ignition system which provides a superior and more reliable ignition system than older spark relight systems. The heat exchangers are constructed of aluminized steel and covered by a 20 -year Limited Warranty. They are Carrier's patented Super -S heat exchangers that improve heat transfer and enable downsizing of this furnace to only 40 -in. tall. To improve the sound level, we have incorporated a soft mount inducer assembly and a slow opening gas valve. The control board is the brain of this induced -combustion gas furnace. It offers a unique self -test feature that checks all the major functions of the furnace within 1 minute. The control board also features a 3 -amp fuse that protects the transformer and control board. Another feature on the control board is a LED status indicator light to ensure top furnace performance. Box 1144 La Quinta, CA 92253 Attn: Rob Capetz Subject: Roof Truss Shop Drawings and Calculations Lot 54 @ Traditions La Quinta, CA Dear Rob, 2283 Fifth Street La Verne, CA'91750 (909) 596-0842 Fax (909) 596-5187 The roof truss drawings by Trussworks for the subject project were received by our office on November 26, 2001, and are approved. The submittal has been reviewed for general conformance to the design concept of the project structural plans. The fabrication processes, techniques of construction, dimensions, and quantities are not a part of this review. Since the shop drawings were reviewed only for. general conformance with the structural plans, unless variations from the structural plans have been clearly indicated, we may not have listed them. Our review of these drawings does not relieve the truss engineer and the framing contractor from complying with the structural plans.
