The corner connection between shear wall #27 and shear wall 414 does not comply with what is. shown on the framing plans. 1 have analyzed shear wall 427 as a panel that has 8'-8" in length instead of the previous length o-; 9'-8". The panel type stays the same, but the contractor needs to provide a double stud at this location. Shear wall must be edge nailed to the double post and an 1'iD2A hold down needs to b,- epoxied (as per Simpson structural set) at this location. Use a 5/8" diameter all thread with minimum 7" embedment into continuous footing. See shortened shear wall #27 on the following pages. Shear wall #27 is located at the office. 15. Need to repli#ce existing 4x blocking used girder/drag truss shear wall #20 connection at garage. Replace with new 4x blocking 2:s shown in detail on following pages. Provide 4x blocking so that the MST48 strap can be na'.21ed to bottom of blocking while the blocking is flush with the bottom chord of the girder/drag truss. Must provide a minimum of (7)-LTP4 connectors from bottom of 4x blocking to bottom chord of 3 -ply girder/drag truss. Refer to Bottom View detail of girder/drag at garage on the following pages. 16. Shear wall #29, located between the guest bedroom and the guest living has been moved along the same wall line. The new length of wall.is 7' -6" -which is the same as the old length of wall. Need to sheath (both sides) as per shear wall type C. The HD6A hold downs are already present at the new wall location, however the previous door location needs to be filled. Need to provide a 3x sill plate at the door opening w/ epoxied 5/8" diameter all.threads(min. embedment 7") as per Simpson structural set, use a minimum of 2 all threads. Need to be sure that the shear panel is edge nailed to double top pla',:e, end posts and sill plate. There should be no plywood joint where the new sill plate connects to the existing sill plate. This structural observation does not relieve the City in any way from performing their standard structural inspections nor is it in lieu of any code : equired special inspections.
