Estimate EneM Efficient Polyurethane Foam System Application
Scope of work
• The contractor shall supply all; labor, transportation, material, and tools necessary for
completion of all roofing related work.
Quality control ._ ' .. ..
• All material will be applied by qualified experienced and certified spray applicators.
• All roofing material must be manufactured by the primary manufacturer.
• Contractor shall provide field quality control through supervision, instruction and inspection of
the application.
• Areas not roofed or coated will be protected during application.
• Material shall be kept free from damages.
• All material shall be stored in compliance with local fire and safety requirements.
• Container shall be stored out of weather and direct sunshine where the temperatures are within
the limits specified by the manufactures.
Removal and disposal
• Remove all loose gravel, dust and debris from roof deck using air blower, power sweeper or
other suitable means.
• Buckles, blister, fish mouths and wrinkles shall be fastened or cut out.
• Remove all soft asphalt or mastic materials to allow for proper adhesion.
• Surface to receive foam will be free of oil, solvents, grease, loose particles, peeling coating and
other foreign matter that may deplete the roof system.
Sight set-up
• Castro Roofing and (owner or agent) to agree upon a workable set up area in which to locate
equipment.
Contractor shall restrict the public by setting up safety tape around the set up area, i.e., kettles,
trucks, bins, etc.

General
• Contractor shall provide experience journeymen to apply the new roof system in a professional
work like manner and a experienced foreman shall be present at all times to over see the crew.
• Job to be staffed from 7:004-m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Should inclement weather threaten, or job is shut down due to high winds, etc., Contractor will
than the job on weekends at no extra charge to the owner.
• Contractor to obtain all necessary permits 'for the re -roofing, and coordinate the required
inspection with the building department.

Deck Preparation
• Replace all edge metal at perimeter with 24 gauge foam stop metal with 1" rise as needed.
Metal to be staggered nailed 3" on centers with double nails on joints with proper sealant
between joints. Paint metal to match existing.

• Check for weak areas any found will be inspected for dry rot and replacing plywood at a rate of
$2.00 a square foot, upon approval of owner or agent.

• Any plumbing/ electrical or framing modifications will be charged at $75.00 per hour and
material. upon approval of owner or agent.
Poly Urethane product design
• This system is a sprayable rigid polyurethane foam insulation system designed to insulate an.d
aid in water proofing construction surfaces. The sprayed product results in a seainl.ess,
monolithic and durable insulation system.
Energy Efficient Polyurethane Foam System Application
Apply Th primer at a rate of one gallon per 200 square feet.
• Spray polyurethane foam at a thickness of one inch, give or take 1/3 inch.
• Polyurethane foam shal l be applied uniformly over entire roof surface
• Apply polyurethane foam in no less than %s inch passes
• Edges shall be feathered to provide smooth transitions
• Apply foam in a manner to help direct water towards roof drains
• Polyurethane roam shall be terminated neatly a minimum of four inches above roof lines and
all penetration.
• Polyurethane foam shall not be applied in case of inclement weather or when temperature is
below 50 degrees. if any moisture is present or if wind exceeds 12 M.P.H. foam shall not be
sprayed.
• Polyurethane shall be applied in accordance with manufactures specifications
- • Full thickness of polyurethane foam shall be completed prior to the end of each day and al ow
time to cure.
• Finished surface shall be smooth or orange peel, free of bumps, pinholes, voids, depressions,
tree bark and ridges.
Coating Product Design
• Thermo -O -Flex coating system is a premium quality; fluid -applied, elastomeric roof coating
manufactured using advanced all -acrylic polymer technology. The fully adhered seamless
membrane exhibits outstanding reflectivity, adhesion, flexibility and water resistance.
• TF original (TF 750) is designed to withstand the intense heat and ultra -violet rays of very dry
desert environments. Manufactured using the highest quality and most technologically
advanced, 100% acrylic resins, TF 750 is a water-based, non toxic roof coating. •Phis highly
reflective roof coating protects roof substrates from moisture in a wide range of climates is fire
rated, UV resistant and environmentally friendly.

Coating Application:
Inspection: Prior to application of protective coating, the polyurethane foaln shall be inspected.
for suitable base coat application. The polyurethane foam shall be clean, dry, and sound.
• Polyurethane foam shall be givem proper time to cure and be free from dust, dirt, contaminants
and moisture and other materials that will impair adhesion on the protective coating*.
• Over entire new polyurethane foam roof system apply thermo flex 750 Series high performance
base coat tit a rate of 1 i/2 gallon per 100 square feet approximately 13,5 mils
• After first coat has cured apply a second coat of thermo f1ex750 series high performance top
coat at a rate of 1 1/Z gallons per 100 square feet approximately 13 mils. Application of final
coat will be applied in the opposite direction of base coat to ensure proper coverage_
• Base coat shall be applied the same day as the polyurethane foam roof when possible if more
than 24 houi-s elapse prior to. the application of base coat the polyurethane foam shall be
inspected for ultra violet deterioration
• Coating shall not be applied if rain is forecasted within 48 hours or if temperature will drop
below freezing point.
• Coating shall have resistance to ponding, water
• All .materials will be applied to >.nanufa.cture specifications.

• C.opies of the manufactures technical data bulletins, material safety data sheet (MSDS), and
safety instructions on each product will be supplied upon request.

• For a full life expectancy and even extend the life of the roof it is recommended that
maintenazlee procedures with annual inspections provided by your roofing contractor should be
considered.
