I have reviewed the truss shop drawings for this project and find them in substantial conformance with the
drawings and specifications.
It is the responsibility of the General Contractor, Truss Manufacturer, to check all dimensions, provide
for all hardware required as required for this project to be successfully completed. The architect has
reviewed this submittal for substantial conformance with the plans and specs only. Engineering for
trusses is the responsibility of the truss manufacturer and.shall conform to all applicable codes and
ordinances.
The General Contractor is to notify the architect once the trusses have been installed and sheeting
installed (not final nailed) for site observation by architect.

I have received a 27 page report from Desert Cities Development, Inc. regarding the use of OSB.
board in lieu of the specified plywood.
I have reviewed this report and find that the OSB is an applicable substitute for the specified
plywood product so long as the appropriate OSB board is used that substitutes for the respective
product.
ie : The Struct-1 plywood for shear walls must be replaced with the
appropriate grade stamped panel of OSB.
Ihave talked with the City of La Quinta and they agree that the OSB board is an acceptable
alternate so long as the appropriate grade stamped panels are used.
The Framing Contractor and General Contractor are authorized to use the appropriate OSB
panels for the respective roof diaphgrams and shear walls and takes all responsibility to select

property in the City of La Quinta, County of Riverside, State of California:
Lot 40 of Tract 28470-1 as per map filed in Book 263, Pages 76-90, inclusive, of Maps of
said County.
In consideration of the City. of La Quinta issuing a building permit for certain improvements
which will be constructed on said property, the undersigned does hereby covenant and agree to and
with said City to restrict the use of said property as follows:
The detached guest house is intended for use by the property owner and does not have a
kitchen (MUP 98-035). The guest house is for sleeping purposes of the on-site residents and
their nonpaying guests pursuant to Section 9.60. 100 of the Zoning Ordinance.
This covenant and agreement shall run with the land and shall be binding upon future owners,
their successors, heirs, or assigns, and ourselves, and shall continue in effect while said second
dwelling unit remains on the real property or unless otherwise released by the authority of the City
of La Quinta. This agreement shall be entitled to the remedy of injunctive relief in addition of any
remedy in law or equity.
