Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday and explain your
predicament.
Our research together indicates that your parents, Earl R. and Florence D.
Kiernan own approximately 5.35 acres of land southwest of the intersection of
State Highway 111 and Washington Street, in La Quinta, California. You
informed me that the property previously used a street address of 46-201
Washington Street, La Quinta. The land is generally described as Parcel B of
LLA 2003-397 (7-15-03, Inst. No. 03-523914), and is comprised of Riverside
County Assessor's Parcels 604-050-054, -055, -056, -057 and -058. The land
itself is situated on the mountain ridge between Indian Wells and La Quinta and
appears to be roughly bisected by La Quinta / Indian Wells city boundaries.
Recently, the land between your parents' property and Washington street was
subdivided as Tract 31348 (The Estates at Point Happy), which rendered useless
the previous address. Because of your agreement with the developer, granting
you rights of ingress and egress through his property from Washington Street, I
proposed a new address for your parents' land.
Consequently, the Building Department's records have been updated to reflect
the change. The property will now be addressed as: 78-310 Clarke Court.
Hopefully, this letter will assist you in making arrangements with utility and
service providers, postal and other agencies, and allow emergency services a
logical approach to the property. If the developer allows, it seems beneficial to
post an address sign at the point where your driveway intersects Clarke Court.
