Dear: Mr. Hartung
I hereby request you to commence a formal investigation of WORLD DEVOLPMENT
INC. located,at 74-333 HWY 111, #103 Palm Desert, CA. 92260, license #743687.
On June 4, 1999,Isigned a written contract with WORLD DEVELOPMENT INC. to
receive a new family home at 78-215 Cloud View Wy, (Lot 53) at 132,000. After the job
was supposedly completed my wife and I observed a severe slope in the dining room floor,
streaks of lines on kitchen wall and living room ceiling, cracks ocurring in the cement and
many other problems. I immediately contacted the contractor several times by telephone
and letter requesting that he complete the job in the manner specified in our contract. On
March 10, 2000,I spoke with Scott Stokes and he informed me they were going to do any-
thing. On January 4, 2001,I wrote a finale demand letter to the contractor. To date, all my
request had been ignored.
I enclosed a copy of additional correspondance, including a formal demand letter which
I sent by mail, which although received, went unanswered.
It is my understanding that your agency has the authority _to- investigate. I would
appreciate that this be done, I am available_after 2:30_p.m., weekdays_at_77.7-804_4_to
assist you at your convenience. Kindly notify me of all developments and thank you for
your cooperation and courtesies.

Attached is a list of poorly constructed items in my home that need to be taken
care of, immediately.

make our home complete. I'm expecting a call within the next week.
As you can see from the list, your product - my home, was completed in a very
paQL manner. Is your current project in North La Quinta being completed in the

Gentlemen:
We purchased a single family residential house from your company by a written contract
dated June 4, 1999. It is described as "78-215 Cloud View Way".
Representations were made by your salesman that the house was properly constructed.
Since occupying the residence, various defects in construction have become self evident:
The entire dining room floor is slanting so badly that furniture cannot stand
level..
2. The cement floor in the garage is disintegrating, and is cracked and broken.
Other houses in the area do not have our problems.
3. The driveway has extreme cracking.
4. The ceiling wall has separated:
It is possible that the entire structure has defects due to improper compacting. This
should certainly have been anticipated by the contractor.
We have pointed these and other defects out to your employees. Some repairs were
started but, obviously, the work has ceased.
Please understand that a notice demanding arbitration or a lawsuit will be filed after 10
days of the date of this letter
