INSTALLATION: This trim has been evaluated by UL and UL Classified for use with the recessed
housings/cans of a number of recessed luminaires. When used with the recessed housing identi-
fied on the Permlight website or instruction sheet, the combination is considered acceptable by UL
and therefore to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (Electrical1rispectors).' ENBC custom memory
springs work well.with new construction and .remodel-style.housings/cans. Recommended spacing
for new construction is 5 feet 'on center or 1 trim per 25 square feet.
DIMMING:. Permlight recommends the use.of 3 -wire, electronic low -voltage dimmers. See
Permlight website for list of tested/compatible dimmers. .
CALIFORNIA TITLE 24: The ENBC series can, be used to meet the minimum efficacy requirements

MEDIUM SCREW BASE INSTALLATION:
For this type of, installation, it is understood that this
product is'to be used with inherently Insulation Contact
(IC) type, incandescent cans (as listed on the following
page).
1) Disconnect power- to the recessed cans which
are to be installed/retro-fit.
2) Connect luminaire to power - screw in male
medium screw base connector to female mating
connector in recessed can.,.Connecting the green
ground Wire to ground is optional. Tum on power to
verify you have connected -the trim correctly.
3) Insert trim into can - Insert the trim into the
recessed can. Before mounting flush to the ceiling,
it is recommended that caulk or a suitable airtight
• seal be used between the can and the ceiling.
HARD WIRE INSTALLATION (California's Title 24)
For this type of installation, it is understood, that this
product is to be used with Inherently Insulation Contact
(IC) type and Air -Tight (AT) cans (as listed on the -
following page).
1) Disconnect power to the ecessed can which are
to be installed/retro-fit.
2) Remove female srew base connector - Cut the
female adapteron the recessed can off near the
base making sure to conserve as much hanging
wire as possible.
3) Remove male screw base connector - Cut the
male adapter on the ENBC Series off near the
crimp connectors making sure to conserve as
much, wire as possible. Strip about 1/2" of
insulation off wires:
4) Connect luminaire to power - Use acceptable
wire nuts or UL -listed Push-Gaurd type connectors
to connect the wire from the LED Trim to the wires
hanging, from the recessed can. Attach ground wire
to the building's ground.
5) Insert trim into can - Insert the trim into the
*recessed can. Before mounting flush to the ceiling,
it is -recommended that caulk ora suitable airtight
seal be used between the can and, the ceiling.
