First, if the trusses are sheathed with a minimum of 3/8" thick plywood and proper lateral bracing, such as that shown in BWT-76 (a current Truss Plate Institute publication) is in place, racking, or roll over of the trusses should no longer be possible. Secondly, since the trusses are continuous framing members (continuous through the ridge) ridge blocking isn't needed to ensure a continuous roof diaphram.. .
