Per telephone conversation this date with Steve Vance of Orr Builders:
• Applicant gained previous approval (3/20/06) to eliminate smoke and fire
dampers at ceilings of common area "corridor." This approval was based
upon 2001 CBC Section 1004.3.4.3, Exception #5, where the corridor serves
fewer than 100 occupants, fire resistive construction is not required.
• Applicant further wishes to delete gypsum board at bottom of roof and floor
trusses. After re -reviewing the approved plans, this 16,000 s.f., 2 -story
building of Type V -N construction, fully sprinklered, triggers no interior, fire
resistive requirements. In addition, stair and elevator shafts do not require
enclosures.'
• Applicant was notified of conceptual approval. However, the building plans
must be updated, and all affected sheets must be submitted, reviewed and
approved. Applicant indicated his intent to have the necessary changes made
to the plans as soon as possible.
