I'm writing this letter on advise of the Building_ Code Department of laquinta.
I have recently applied for a building permit to construct a block wall
around my residence located at the above address. Wall to be constructed and
under question is for front yard of residence.
The problem encountered is unique and unusual due to logistic of adajacent
undeveloped road (dirt).. According to.City 0rdance walls are limited to six
(6) foot unless house is considered to be on a corner lot which limits
construction to three (3) foot because of visual.limitatins for vehicular
traffic:
The problem is due to this undeveloped dirt road and specific if this
constitutes it as being,a corner lot.
This road in question has. minimum useage of vehicular traffic; approximately
three (3) vehicles per day. Itis general use has been for residence of
local neighborhoods to bring their children over to use for dirt bikes and
ATC vehicles, which are a noise and safety hazard to my family and visiting
friends.
Permission to erect this wall -at a six (6) foot height would serve several
functions, property valuation.9 security,, cosmetic appearance and certainly
abatement of noise and injurym
A survey has been conducted to impairement of vehicular traffic in the event
this road were to be developed for vehicle traffic by my self through observationo
Construction of this wall at it's -requested height and location would cause no
visual problem. Attached is a sketch of property and surrounding properties and
proposed wa11 construction for your consideration*
I would appreciate a immediate answer to this request since preliminary lay out
work is in progress pending permit issuance. Even if a variance is necessary to
fullfill this requirement, I'd appreciate your input®
