NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of La Quinta City Council will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on DECEMBER
5, 2017, at 5:00 p.m., in the La Quinta City Hall Council Chamber, 78495 Calle Tampico. La Quinta, California,
on the following item:
ADDITION OF APPEAL FEES AND A CLARIFYING FOOTNOTE
TO -THE USER AND REGULATORY MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
The City Council will consider adopting a resolution to update the City's user and regulatory Master Fee
Schedule by adding appeal fees and a clarifying footnote for line item no. 9 — Expedited Plan Review fee under
the Public Works Section.
The proposed fee schedule updates are limited to the addition of fees associated with "appeals" and are
intended to provide clarity to applicants or parties desiring to appeal to the City Council, Planning Commission,
other Boards, hearing body, staff, etc. Proposed is also a clarifying footnote for Public Warks related Expedited
Plan Review requests which are subject to City Engineer approval and dependent on staff availability and
workload. No change is proposed to this fee, The City's consultant, ClearSource Financial Consulting has'
prepared the proposed adjustments to the Master Fee Schedule.
Other than the additions stated above, there are no changes proposed to the City's user and regulatory fees as
established in the current Master Fee Schedule and adopted on August 1, 2017, by Resolution No. 2017-041;
the Master Fee Schedule remains in effect.
At the Public Hearing, City staff will present the proposed additions to the Master Fee Schedule and will accept
questions thereon. All interested persons are invited to be present and be heard.
Any person may submit written comments on the contemplated action listed above to the attention of Monika
Radeva, Deputy City Clerk, prior to the Hearing and/or may appear and be heard in support of, or opposition
to the item at the time of the Hearing, if you challenge the decision of the action listed above In court, you
may be limited to raising only those Issues that you or someone else raised either at the Public Hearing or in
written correspondence delivered to the City Clerk Department at, or prior to the Public Hearing. The proposed
changes to the Master Fee Schedule may be viewed by the public at City Hall, Monday through Thursday, from
7:30 a.m, to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Hub. La Quinta City Hall, 78495 Calle
