The Architectural Committee has reviewed and approved your request to construct an
Alumawood shade structure, to be installed at'your 55-156 Tanglewood residence. The
following stipulations must be met to complete the requirements for this installation:
• Alumawood structure must be built in accordance with and, as applicable, to the
Homeowner's Association specifications. Contractor/homeowner has submitted,
in accordance with the standard requirements, a structure designed for 20-
pound/s.f live load; 90 mph wind load, commercial. application All applicable
footing details, attachment details, material gauges, sans and column heights to
apply.
• The columns are to be enclosed in 10 inch round tapered columns.
• Obtain all applicable permits from the City of La Quinta and supply signed
copies to the Homeowners' Association.
• Homeowner is to install two signs on the top of the overhang. The verbiage on
each sign issues a warning regarding walking on the overhang. The signs are
available from the Association for a fee of $25.00'each.
• Your contractor is to provide caulking at all penetrations into the stucco to
maintain a waterproof condition.
• Contractor to provide a copy of the 'Contractor's Notice of Completion
Certification Lerter' with the notice. (See attached)
Additionally, we want to reiterate that the maintenance of the patio shade structure will
be solely the responsibility of the homeowner and will not be in any way the
responsibility of the Association. This provision is recorded 'with the County of
Riverside and runs with the land.
