Re: Non -Structural Building Plan Review

Fire Department personnel have reviewed and DENIED the plans you submitted for the above
referenced project. Please make the following corrections and resubmit with a copy of this letter
indicating where on plan corrections are made.
1. Pay Fire Department plan review fee. Please contact the City of La Quinta permit
center for amount due.
2. NOTE on the plans "these plans are in compliance with California Building and Fire
Codes (2013 edition) and Chapter 9 of Title
3. NOTE on the plans "the OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION, BUILDING
CONSTRUCTION TYPE / FIRE RATING and SPRINKLERED or NON-
SPRINKLERED (CFC-SECTION 105.4.2)
4. NOTE on the plans "any modifications to the existing fire sprinkler system shall be
performed under deferred submittals" Fire sprinkler contractor shall submit 2 sets of
plans for review and approval prior to modifying the system.
5. If required please provide a 5 year re certification of the fire sprinkler system prior to
final inspection
6. NOTE on the plans Fire alarm, sprinkler monitoring system contractor shall submit
2 sets of plans for review and approval prior to modifying the system.
7. NOTE on the plans "The FDC/PIV shall be labeled with the address of the
building that it serves (CFC-SECTION 505.1)
8. NOTE on the plans occupancy load of each area. (CFC-SECTION 1004.1)
9. SHOW location of Knox Box and key. (CFC §506)
