Dear Kirk,
Per our conversation in the field this morning I am making a formal request to eliminate the "weep screed"
from Lot 12 at The Quarry.
The house is constructed of Light Gage.Steel Framing and Red Iron Steel. Because there can be no dry -rot
from moisture in the normal sense, I would like to substitute the following method in place of the weep
screed.
I propose we apply 24" of Mira-Dri water proof sheathing, 6" on concrete and 18" up on the steel stud
walls. The application of Mira-Dri begins with a primer coat to the concrete and then the Mira-Dri sheet
peels to allow self -sticking to the primer coat.
I would like to put this material on the house and then request a re -inspection before we start to wrap.
Of course, I will assume all responsibility for any problem that may occur from this variation of code
requirements.

601 603; ducts insulated to a minimum installed R4.2 or ducts enclosed entirely within conditioned space. Openings shall be
sealed with mastic, tape aerosol sealant or other duct closure system that meets the applicable requirements of UL181,
UL181 S, or UL181 B and other applicable specified test for longevity given in 150(m).
