will hold a public hearing on March 3, 1987, at 7:30. p.m., in the
La Quinta City Hall Council Chambers at 78-105 Calle Estado on the
following item:
City Initiated amendment to the text of the Municipal Land
Use Ordinance No. 348, Section 18.12, Off -Street Vehicle
Parking, by adding provisions for City-wide compact car
parking.
The La Quinta Planning Department has completed Environmental
Assessment No. 87-065 and has tentatively determined that the
proposed project will not have a significant adverse effect on the
environment and therefore has completed a Negative Declaration. The
La Quinta City Council will consider the adoption of the Negative
Declaration for the environmental assessment along with the amendment
to the text of the Aunicipal Land Use Ordinance at this hearing.
Any person may submit written comments to the Planning
Department prior to the hearing and/or may appear and be heard in
support of or opposition to the adoption of the Negative Declaration
and/or the approval of this ordinance amendment at the time of the

EXTENSION OF AN URGENCY ORDINANCE
CHANGING APPROVAL PROCEDURE FOR
COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of La
Quinta will hold a public hearing to consider the extension of an
ordinance requiring Planning Commission approval of all new
commercial development projects which may be in conflict with a
contemplated zoning proposal. Said ordinance has been established
as an urgency measure and the proposed extension is to be in effect
on an interim study basis pursuant to Government Code Section 65858.
Said ordinance shall apply City-wide.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 14, 1987 a Planning Director's
Hearing was conducted to undertake the periodic review of the Adopted
Development Agreement for "The Grove" project. The project is generally
bounded by Avenue 48 alignment on the north, 50th Avenue on the south,
Washington Street on the east. The review was conducted as required by
Article 6 of the City Council Resolution No. 84-22 and Section 9.1 of the
Subject Development Agreement.
The Planning Director, based upon substantial evidence given, has
determined that the Applicant has complied in good faith with the terms
and conditions of the agreement. No changes or modifications of any kind,
to the original development plan, were considered or approved by this
action. The next review will be conducted on or before January 31, 1988.
