Dear Mr. McCreary,
The Hideaway Design Review Committee (DRC) reviewed the revised final working drawings at their
April 1, 2014 meeting. The project was approved to start construction; however, the following comments
must be addressed prior to the request for setback observation at the lot.
1. Some of the required architectural detailing was still missing from the plan submittal (ex.
wrought iron rails, stucco recesses, etc.). In addition, some of the details were not keyed in as
required. Please provide all appropriate detailing and proper call -outs.
2. The chimney cap detail appears small for the architectural design presented and may not work
properly with.the tile roofing proposed. Please review this detail and modify as necessary.
3. A smooth transition is required with the landscape at the adjacent lot (southwest side).
4. Bougainvillea "Torch Glow" cannot be maintained in an aesthetically pleasing way at a
maximum height of three feet. The committee recommends the use of a plant that can be
maintained appropriately at 3' as required in the rear yard view corridors.
5. Sheet L-5 shows an entry wall and pot elevations but no construction details were provided.
