Statewide Portable Equipment Registration
The following operating conditions apply for registration 123849

General Requirements
1. Thekengine shall be properly maintained and kept in good operating condition at all
times.
2. The registration identification label shall be affixed in a visible location on the
registered portable engine at all times. A legible copy of the registration certificate
must be kept on site with the portable engine and must be made accessible to the
Air Resources Board or district representative upon request.
3. Engine fuel must meet standards for California motor vehicle fuels as set forth in
Chapter 5, Division 3, Title 13, of the'California Code of Regulations.
4. The engine and any replacement engine shall not reside at the same location for
more than 12 consecutive months.
5. This registration is not valid for operation within the boundaries of the California
Outer Continental Shelf and State Territorial Waters.
6: For each rental transaction, the owner shall provide each person who rents the
portable engine with a copy of the registration certificate, including operating
conditions' as part of the rental agreement.
7. The operator of a portable engine or equipment unit must obtain district
authorization prior to operation at any specific location where the Statewide
registration is not valid.
Reporting and Notification
8. In order to mitigate any potential adverse local impacts as a result of the operation
of this engine; upon the fifth day of placement of this engine into operation at a site
within the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), the operator
is requested to voluntarily notify SCAQMD at (877) 810-6995 and give details of
the operation. This will ensure a cooperative effort between the local agency and
the operator to mitigate potential problems before they originate as a result of the
operation of this engine.
9. The owner of a registered portable engine shall notify the Executive Officer in
writing within five days of replacing the registered portable engine with an
identical replacement. The notification shall include company name, contact, phone
number, registration number, make, model, rated brake horsepower, and serial
number of the identical replacement, and applicable fees. For an equivalent
replacement of a registered portable engine, the owner or operator must file a new
application with the Executive Officer prior to operation of the equivalent
replacement. The new application shall include the registration sticker of the
registered portable engine being replaced and the applicable fees. On or after
July 1, 2001, identical and equivalent replacements will no longer be allowed under
the Statewide Portable Equipment Registration Program.
