The overall sizes, hearth extensions and chimney details are shown in Table 1. The minimum hearth extensions for on-site construction are shown in Figure 3. The fireplace assemblies are required to be installed with their respective chimney components as described in Sections 2.2 through 2.8 of this report Table 2 lists the optional equipment available for each unit. 2.2 Majestic Models CR36L and CR36R Fireplaces: CR36L and CR36R fireplaces are wood -burning, factory -built fireplaces that are designed for installation at specified clearances to combustible materials. The fireplaces lack air -circulation grills. The clearance to combustible materials shall be a minimum of '/,s inch (11.11 mm) at the sides and'/, inch (19.05 mm) at the back of the unit. A minimum 1% inches (38.10 mm)of clearance is required between the chimney and combustible construction. The units are designed for use with Majestic Model SK, 8 -inch -diameter (203.2 mm), two -wall chimney components, or Majestic Model "S", three -wall, 8 -inch -diameter (203.2 mm) chimney components. The fireplaces are constructed as a two -wall; L-shaped firebox. The outer casing is galvanized steel of 0.018 -inch (0.46 mm) minimum thickness. The inner surface of the outer top is covered with 1 -inch -thick (25.4 mm), foil -faced fiberglass insulation. The inner box combustion chamber is minimum 0.026 -inch -thick (0.66 mm) aluminized steel. The front and side planes are open for fuel loading, and the top has provisions for a flue outlet. The fireplaces lack air -circulation grills. The clearance to combustibles shall be a minimum of/, inch (19.05 mm) at the back and sides. These units are designed for use with Majestic Model 11CF, 11 -inch -diameter (279.4 mm), two -wall chimney components that require a 2 -inch (50.8 mm) clearance to combustibles. The SHR36, SHR42, and SHR48 fireplaces are constructed as two -wall boxes consisting of an 0.018 -inch - thick (0:46 mm) galvanized steel outer casing, and a 0.030 - inch -thick (0.76 mm) aluminized steel combustion chamber casing. The OD fireplace is constructed as a two - wall box, with the outer casing and combustion chamber casing both consisting of 0.0125 -inch -thick (0.32 mm) stainless steel. The SHR36, SHR42, ODSHR42 and SHR48 combustion casings are lined with 1 -inch -thick (25.4 mm) refractory side bricks and 1'/, -inch -thick (38.10 mm) refractory back brick. Construction details are as shown in Figures 4 and 5. 2.4 Majestic Models WMC36, WMC42, BR36, BC36, BR42, BC42, SR36, SC36, SR42 and SC42 Fireplaces: The WMC, BC and SC series fireplaces have top and bottom air -circulation grills. The BR and SR series fireplaces have no air -circulation grills. The minimum specified clearances to combustibles must be as noted in this report. Minimum clearance to combustibles is'/, inch (12.7 mm) at sides and at the back. See Figures 7 and 10 for details. 2.7 Majestic Model BFC36 Fireplace: The BFC36 fireplace is a wood -burning fireplace with air circulation grills on the bottom of the front face, designed for installation with a minimum clearance to combustibles of inch (12.7 mm)from sidewalls, and 1 inch (25.4 mm) from back walls. The BFC36 is limited to use with the Majestic Model "S", 8 -inch, Type HT 2100°F chimney. The Majestic "S" chimney requires a 2 -inch (50.8 mm) clearance to combustibles. The fireplace is constructed as a double-wall box consisting of a 0.018 -inch (0.46 mm) galvanized steel outer chamber and a 0.045 -inch (1.14 mm) aluminized steel combustion chamber. The hearth is composed of 1 -inch -thick (25.4 mm) high-temperature refractory brick. The back and *sides of the combustion casing are lined with 0.75 -inch -thick (19.1 mm) refractory brick. The top of the combustion casing is lined with 21 pcf (336 kg/m') cast ceramic fibercement. The top of the base pan is lined with mineral wool. The inside of the outer top and outer casings are lined with foil -faced fiberglass. The units are designed to operate with the doors open or closed. Construction details are as shown in Figures 6 and 7. 2.8 Majestic. Model "S", 8 -inch, Type HT 2100°F Chimney System: This chimney system, which includes rooftop assemblies, flue supports, firestop spacers, chimney components and elbows, complies with Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Standard UL 103, as a `Type HT" chimney system for use with solid -fuel -burning appliances specifically recognized in an ICBO ES evaluation report. All chimney system components are marked `Type HT." The basic construction is of concentric cylinders, the outer section of galvanized steel, an inner section of aluminized steel and a flue section of minimum 0.015 -inch -thick (0.38 mm) stainless steel. The products of combustion flow through the flue section. The innersection has four spacers attached so as to ensure an air space between the flue and the inner section, and between the inner and outer sections. Cooling air is drawn down the space between the inner and outer sections, while the space between the inner section and the flue is used for expelling the heated cooling air. A flue support shall be installed at or below the 30 -foot (9 m) height if the height of the chimney exceeds this dimension. Two flue supports are required fora chimney installed at its maximum height. Refer to Table 3 and Figure 8 for further details. 2.9 Installation: Installation must comply with the manufacturer's published installation instructions and this evaluation report. A copy of the instructions must be available at all times on the 'jobsite during installation. 2.10 Identification: The fireplaces are identified by a metal label that includes the CFM Majestic Inc. name and address, model number, serial number, required clearance to combustible materials, type of chimney required, reference to the manufacturer's installation instructions, the evaluation report number (ICBO ES ER -5677), type of fuel, electrical rating (if. applicable), and the name or logo of the quality control agency (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.). Each Model "S", 8 -inch; Type HT2100°F chimney carries the UL label on its outer surface and the "HT" marking. 3.0 EVIDENCE SUBMITTED Data in accordance with the ICBO ES Acceptance Criteria for Solid -fuel -burning Heating Appliances (AC06), dated April 1989, and a quality control manual. 4.0 FINDINGS.
