A special meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to
order at 2:00 p.m. by Chairperson Henderson.
PRESENT: Agency Members, Evans, Franklin, Sniff, Chairperson Henderson

MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff /Evans to excuse the
absence of Agency Member Adolph from this meeting. Motion carried
unanimously.

The Redevelopment Agency recessed to Closed Session to and until the hour
of 4:00 p.m.
4:00 P.M.
The Redevelopment Agency meeting was reconvened with no decisions
being made in Closed Session which require reporting pursuant to
Government Code Section 54957.1 (Brown Act).

MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Evans /Franklin to
approve the Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion carried
unanimously.
BUSINESS SESSION
1. CONSIDERATION OF FIRMS TO DEVELOP AND OPERATE A MULTI-
FAMILY AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF DUNE PALMS ROAD AND WESTWARD HO
Economic Development Project Manager Powell presented the staff
report.
Kay Wolff, 77227 Calle Ensenada, considerations of a project are
quality, management, and ability to deliver on the contract; through
the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition she has been involved with
affordable housing in the community for many years; she has noticed
that the affordable units across the Valley have been of good quality,
well managed, and graffiti and litter -free; and the City has a good
reputation for developing quality developments.
Becky Aguilera, 47795 Dune Palms Road, Apt 7121, resident of Wolff
Waters Apartments, stated the complex is a nice place for families and
well taken care of with ample security.
The following made presentations and were interviewed by the
Agency Board:
Bridge Housing
Coachella Valley Housing Coalition
National Community Renaissance Studio - SA Architects
MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff /Franklin to
authorize staff to initiate negotiations with Bridge Housing for
development and operation of a multi - family affordable housing
complex located at the southeast corner of Dune Palms Road and
Westward Ho. Motion carried unanimously.
