MOTION - A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Franklin/
Adolph to approve the minutes of July 16, 2013 as submitted. Motion passed
unanimously.
MOTION - A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Adolph/
Evans to approve the minutes of August 6, 2013 as submitted. Motion passed
unanimously.

p.m. by Chairperson Osborne.

1. INTERVIEW AND APPOINT RESIDENTS TO FILL TWO VACANCIES ON THE
HOUSING COMMISSION
Chairperson Osborne welcomed applicants and explained the process the Authority
would follow in conducting interviews, voting and appointing applicants.
The following applicants gave a brief presentation on their qualifications followed
by a question and answer period between Authority Members and applicants:

❖ Michele McDonough
❖ Evelyn Pivnick
Authority Secretary Maysels collected, tabulated, and announced the votes as
follows:

monthly to the Housing Authority for review.

• The Investment Summary Report is submitted quarterly to Housing Authority
for review.
• The report summarizes the Housing Authority's investments for the quarter
ending September 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND/ANAYLSIS:
The revenue and expenditure reports are submitted to the La Quinta Housing
Authority monthly to review, receive, and file. The Housing Authority has collected
16.7% of its projected revenues through August 31, 2013. The expenditures are
at 13.5% of the budgeted amounts. The Investment Summary Report presents the
Housing Authority's investments as of September 30, 2013.

Government Code; and is in conformity with the City Investment Policy.
As Treasurer of the City of La Quinta, I hereby certify that sufficient investment liquidity and anticipated
revenues are available to meet the pools expenditure requirements for the next six months. The City of
La Quinta used the Bureau of the Public Debt, U.S. Bank Monthly Statement and the Bank of New York
Monthly Custodian Report to determine the fair market value of investments at month end.
