At this time, the two evaluation reports have been evaluated for compliance with the 1997 Uniform, Building CodeTM. All issues raised by ICBG ES during the evaluation of submitted data have been satisfactorily resolved, except for one. The only remaining requirement that must be met before we can approve the evaluation reports for publication is the request for plans that are part of the evaluation reports to be converted to electronic format. As of March 1999, ICBO ES has required all evaluation report proponents to submit plans in electronic format. Because of the obligation of ICBG ES to provide Class A members of ICBO with complete reports, including plans, we must require proponents to submit their plans in electronic format, so that the plans may be made available to CD-ROM subscribers and Internet users. A summary of plans and design loads is provided in Table 1. Glass installed in wall areas required to be open by Section 3116 of Appen- dix Chapter 31, Division III, of the code shall be readily removable, 0.125 -inch -thick (3.2 mm) tempered glass installed in accordance with Drawing 1225. 2.2 Identification: Each structure carries a permanent decal bearing the company name (C- Thru Industries, Inc.), the design live load, the horizontal wind load, the wind -uplift load and the evaluation report number (ICBG ES ER -1968P). The glass is labeled in accordance with Section 2402 of the code. Glass used in hazardous locations, as defined in Section 2406.4 of the code, is labeled in accordance with Section 2406.2 ER -1968P Reissued April 1, 1997 3.0 EVIDENCE SUBMITTED Plans and calculations. 4.0 FINDINGS That the C-Thru Industries, Inc., Aluminum Patio Structures, Com- mercial Canopies and Patio Cover Enclosures comply with the 1994 Uniform Building Code', subject to the following conditions: 4.1 Installation is in accordance with the attached plans de- scribed in Table 1 and the manufacturer's instructions. 4.2 Residential patio covers and patio cover enclosures conform to Division III of Appendix Chapter 31 of the Uniform Building Code. 4.3 Enclosures are limited to attached patio covers designed to be enclosed, with maximum loads as noted In Table 1. 4.4 For installation of enclosures on existing patio covers, cal- culations and other data may be required by the building offi- cial if evidence of compliance is not available on the existing patio cover. 4.5 Installation is by installers acceptable to C-Thru Industries, Inc. 1996 Accumulative Supplement: This report is unaffected by the supplement.
