NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cityry of
La Quinta City Council will hold a PUBLIC HEAR-
ING on July 15, 2014 at 6 009.m. m. in the La Quinta
City Hall Council Chamber, 75-495 Calle Tampico,
on the following item:
ADOPTION OF USER FEES AND
REGULATORY FEES
The City provides many services to ensure safe,
orderly and aesthetically pleasing development
and construction in La Quinta. The broad catepo-
ries of these services include, but are not limited
to project entitlement review, improvement plan
check, map check, permits (building, grading, en-
croachment and driveway), and land action review
(i.e. dedications, arcel mergers and lot line ad-
justments). User fees and regulatory fees are the
mechanism by which the City may recoup a por-
tion of or all of the costs associated with these
services.
The City adusted these fees in 2013 for the first
time since 1996 and going forward proposed an
annual adjustment to fees based on the yearly
change in the all -urban consumer price index for
Los Angeles, Riverside, and Orange County (CPI).
The proposed fee schedule updates are intended
to'read the annual CPI increase, and other re-
finements intended to enhance fee schedule clari-
ty or improve the correlation between the cost of _
providing services and the fees imposed to racov-
er those costs. The City's consultant ClearSource
Financial Consulting has prepared the proposed
adjustments to the user fees and regulatory fees
At the public meeting, City staff will present the
Procc
posed fees and accept questions. At the pub -
p meeting City Council will hear comments in
support o and protest against the proposed ad-
justments to the user and regulatory fees. Any
property owner. may mail a protest a❑gins! the pro-
posed user and regulate ry fees to fine City of Is
Quinta, Chris Escobedo, Office of the City Manag-
er, 78-495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta, CA 92253.
In the CiNs efforts to comply with the "s re-

son in need of any Nps of special equippment, as-
