One steel column and one 6x6 post were deleted from the rear patio/barbaque area these columns were supporting free standing stud walls that have been deleted by the owner. The framing around the living room sliding door and garage side door are acceptable. I have observed the connections and areas that are different from the approved plans. These areas were corrected per my recommendations. The shear wall, in the west bathroom, that was omitted has been added along the west wall of the kitchen. The requested shear transfer at the roof has been completed. The items on the city correction notice and my pick-up sheet have been completed. We did not observe the foundation excavations or steel placement; however, we reviewed the visible foundation anchorage, from above the slab, and framing for conformity to the approved plans. Observed structural deficiencies were brought to the attention of the contractor and were resolved. Based upon our observations at the site, it is the opinion of Joven Engineering, that the structure is in general acceptable conformance with the approved plans.. We did not observe the foundation excavations or steel placement; however, we reviewed the visible foundation anchorage, from above the slab. One steel column and one 6x6 post we deleted from the rear potio/barbeque area these columns were supporting free standing stud walls that have been deleted by the owner. I have observed the connections and areas that are different from the approved plans. These areas were corrected per my recommendations. The shear wall, in the bathroom, that was omitted has been added along the west wall'of the kitchen. The requested shear transfer of the roof has been completed. Detail 19/sd-3 which was omitted has been replaced with o new plate and strap assembly. We have reviewed the framing for conformity to the approved plans.
