SUBJECT: PLOT PLAN NO. 89 -428, CHRISTMAS TREE SALES LOT;
TAMPICO, EAST OF THE SANDBAR RESTAURANT
Dear Mr. Aerni
Your application to locate a Christmas Tree sales lot as noted
above is approved subject to the following conditions:
1. The Christmas tree sales layout shall conform with
Exhibit "A" (Plot Plan).
2. The sales activity shall be only conducted between
December 1, 1989 and December 25, 1989.
:3. The City requires a non - refundable $100 check for the cost
of locating temporary "No Parking" signs.
4. An electrical permit must be secured from the Building
Division prior to connecting to any electrical source.
5. The City requires a $100 cash refundable bond to assure
site clean up. The bond will be forfeited if the site is
not cleared of any Christmas tree debris by December 31,
1989.
6. The 16- square foot plywood (not paper) temporary sales
sign can be erected on the site no sooner. than_December 1,
1989, and must be removed by December 25, 1989. The sign
cannot be located closer than 10 -feet to the back of the
sidewalk, at a height not to exceed 8 -feet. Please submit
a photograph or drawing of the sign prior to December 1,
1989, for this Department's approval.
7. Compliance with the attached Fire Department conditions
is required.
8. The parking area shall be watered down twice a day or more
as determined by wind conditions to keep dust down.

THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS SET SOME FIRE SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR THE
OPERATION OF ALL CHRISTMAS TREE LOTS WITHIN THEIR JURISDICTION. THESE GUIDELINES
HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED TO PROVIDE A FIRE SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOU AND YOUR PATRONS.

PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY OF TREES YOU SHALL DELIVER A COPY OF LOT PLAN TO THE FIRE
MARSHAL FOR APPROVAL.
FIRE PROTECTION:
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS MUST BE PROVIDED FOR EACH LOT. ONE FIRE EXTINGUISHER EACH 75 FEET
OF WALKING DISTANCE MAXIMUM SPACING. FIRE EXTINGUISHER MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 2A10BC
SIZE WITH A CURRENT CALIFORNIA STATE FIRE MARSHAL SERVICE TAG.
WATER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS OF GARDEN HOSE WITH 50 FEET OF HOSE AND SPRAY NOZZLE.
ELECTRICAL:
ALL ELECTRICAL WIRING MUST COMPLY WITH INDIVIDUAL CITY CODES AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT
REQUIREMENTS. NO ZIP CORDS SHALL BE ALLOWED FOR USE. ALL EXTENSION CORDS MUST BE
CONNECTED TO A BREAKERED OUTLET.
AISLE WIDTHS:
ALL AISLE WAYS BETWEEN TREES MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 44 INCHES IN WIDTH.
WASTE:
ALL WASTE AND TRIMMINGS MUST BE REMOVED FROM SITE DAILY OR PLACED IN AN APPROVED
WASTE CONTAINER.

FLOCKING AND FLAME RETARDANCY:
ALL TREES SOLD FOR COMMERCIAL USE TO BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, OR HEALTH CARE
FACILITIES SHALL BE FLAME RETARDED AND BEAR A TAG WITH INFORMATION ABOUT WHEN TREATED
AND WHAT MATERIAL WAS USED DURING TREATMENT.
FLOCKING SHALL BE DONE WITH NON FLAMMABLE FLOCKING MATERIALS. AREA WHERE FLOCKING
SHALL BE DONE SHALL BE MARKED ON LOT PLANS.
