Dear Name:
It is our understanding that there is insufficient projection of the anchor bolts above the mudsill plate
for attachment of the washer plate and nuts on the SW32 and SW48 Simpson Strong -Walls. The
following recommendations are proposed:
• fill the existing shallow bolt holes with Simpson SU epoxy.
• Drill new '/4 inch diameter holes, at locations shown on sketch, to attain a minimum 5 inch concrete
embedment for new epoxy anchors.
• Install 519" diameter x 1.0 inch long A307 dueaded rods with Simpson Strong -Tie SET epoxy with
5" minimum concrete embedment & 1 '/a" minimum edge distance. Allow epoxy to fill oversized
hole -in mudsill plate.
Install provided bearing plate, screws and nut over mudsill anchors.
The epoxy requirements are in accordance with IC130 ER -5279 with load values satisfying the
requirements of our Strong -Wall. Special Inspection may be required for the epoxy installation in
accordance with the local building code.

11 - Opening btwn MBR#2 & MBA#2: Add missing 4x8 header to support roof trusses.
12 Strong wall in Front of'MBA#2: Screw and bolt strong wall with proper washers.
13 Shear wall at MBR#2 Closet: Tighten nut on holdowns.
14 Door header between Guest Room & Bath: Add missing 4x6 header.
