For your protection you should be aware that as "Owner/ Builder" you are the responsible party of record on such a permit. Building permits are not required to be signed by property owners unless they are personally performing their own work. There may be financial risks for you if you do not carry out these obligations, and these risks are especially serious with respect to worker's compensation insurance. For more specific information about your obligations under Federal Law, contact the Internal Revenue Service (and, if you wish, the U.S. Small Business Adminstration). It has not been approved'and is on hold pending his submittal for an additional'structure for the site. This application allows Mr. Dixon a temporary CO until approval of his VUP. No final CO can be granted until the VUP has been approved and Dixon carries out the conditions for that approval. My understanding is that temp CO's run indefinitely, based on the Meat Market situation at Bermudas and Tampico. Therefore, the provisions of Dixon's temp CO remain in effect and I would infer that no further action on your end is needed until he takes further action through our Dep't. We will be contacting Mr. Dixon in writing, regarding his intent to proceed on this issue. Please provide by 8/6/04, any information you would like included as part of our correspondence to him.
