RE: Water damage leaks at three new tile -in shower as t 5:0-545
Grand Traverse,ETQuinta Fairways. Builder R.J.T. Homes
LLC
Dear Kirk,
You made a visit to our .dwelling. Gary Hartman has made
several visits. The report that you gave me included the fact
that all three showers were leaking. You also observed that
RAT. had tried to repair the one shower at the Master Bath.
You both agreed that the work was performed incorrectly. I
requested a report on the condition that existed in the Master
Bath shower and have yet to receive a response.
Without tearing out these three showers or more testing it is
impossible to determine the total extent of damage.
I am enclosing a copy of code sections that apply to new
construction I obtained from a building official in the area I
worked for many years.
I question why the installation of tile in showers as exist don't
follow the building code requirements which include drain
flange, floor slope and installation of liner.
