These gas-fired furnaces incorporate state-of-the-art technology. Attractive in appearance and -designed with features that provide real benefits. FEATURES FULLY ENCLOSED FRONT—Front fully enclosed for more pleasing appearance and greater safety. HEAT EXCHANGER—Ribless contoured, free-floating design helps prevent expansion and contraction noise. 10 -year Limited Warranty. WRAP-AROUND CASING—One piece wrap-around casing con- struction eliminates casing noise. Low -profile 46 -3116 -inch height permits installation in restricted locations. INSULATION—Foil-faced insulation in heat exchanger section of the casing minimizes heat loss. BLOWER ASSEMBLY—Multispeed, energy-saving, permanent split capacitor motor with speed -tap selector provide air balance for heating and cooling. BLOWER CONTROL CENTER—Printed-circuit board and all Internal wiring is factory installed, thus eliminating confusion and errors. A low -voltage terminal board is provided for quick - and -easy control circuit connections. Easy -access electronic air cleaner terminals are provided. SOLID-STATE BLOWER CONTROL—Timed blower operation stops annoying recycling common with thermally activated blower controls. CROSS -PORT BURNERS—Cross-port design assures quiet ignition and extinction of burners. Aluminized steel burners will give years of dependable service. GAS -SAVING PILOT—No standing flame to consume gas when furnace is not operating. An electric spark ignites pilot when thermostat "calls for heat." When thermostat Is satisfied, pilot and burners are extinguished. REDUNDANT GAS VALVE—Redundant valve operators provide added safety protection. SIDE INLET—The 394J Furnace is design -certified by A.G.A. for bottom return -air connection. When side return -air connections are used, a bottom closure panel is required. EFFICIENCY—Exceeds California minimum efficiency stand- ards (Title 20). NITROUS OXIDES (NOx)—Meets NOx emissions level set by South Coast and Bay Area Quality Management Districts. The design of all Model 394J units is A.G.A. design certified for natural and LP, (propane) gas. The 394J is GAMA (Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association) efficiency rating certified. CA The Model 568E Deluxe Condensing Units are designed -to pro- vide quiet, reliable, and economical cooling performance. The all-new exterior design, with pleasing silver sage anfd jade exte- rior, blends well with plants and shrubbery. SEER ratings to 10.6 when used with components -as designated by manufacturer. FEATURES HIGH EFFICIENCY—High energy efficiency is obtained by siz- ing the heat transfer surface and using the best components available to create a system that provides the most cooling out- put for the least energy input. The 568E is a high -efficiency, full line of condensing units built specifically for the energy - conscious consumer. WEATHER -PROTECTIVE CABINET—Steel is protected with a heavy coating commonly called "galvanizing," then coated with a layer of zinc phosphate to which a coat of alkyd melamine enamel is applied and baked -on. This provides each unit with a hard, smooth finish that will last for many years. All screws on the cabinet exterior are stainless steel for a long-lasting, rust - resistant, quality appearance. TOTALLY ENCLOSED FAN MOTOR—Means greater reliability under rain and snow conditions, and. dependable performance for many years. Permanent -split -capacitor -type motors promote more economical operation. UNIT DESIGN—The large wrap-around condenser coil is designed for optimum heat transfer. Vertical air discharge car- ries sound and hot condenser air up and away from adjacent patio areas and foliage. Electrical controls are near top of unit for easy access during installation and servicing. The condenser fan motor can be removed with the top cover when servicing is required. A 318 -inch space is provided between rows of com- posite coils to permit cleaning with a common garden hose. A divider panel is installed between compressor and coil section, so unit can be checked and serviced while operating. EXTERNAL SERVICE VALUES—The service valves are brass -and are externally located so refrigerant tube connections can be made quickly and easily. Each valve has a service port for ease of checking operating refrigerant pressures. EASY SERVICEABILITY—One access panel provides accesslo the electrical controls and compressor J -box. Removal of the top gives access to the coil and removal of the comer panel gives complete access to the compressor and coil return bends. COMPRESSOR PROTECTION—Each compressor is protected with temperature- and current -sensitive overloads. An Internal pressure relief valve provides high-pressure protection to the refrigerant system. STANDARD EOUIPMENT—An impressive array of equipment standard on every 568E includes a crankcase heater with ther- mostatic control, a fully insulated compressor compartment, a low-pressure switch, a filter -drier, compressor hard -start compo- nents, a thermal expansion valve, and external brass refrigerant valves.
