Pursuant to Mr. Bob Andreasen's request I have reviewed his
proposal to install a garden wall/retaining wall in the right of
way at the subject corner property. I met with Mr. Andreasen
at the site and discussed the proposal as outlined in this memo.
1. A wall not to exceed 28" higher than the sidewalk may be
installed in the right of way at the back edge of the sidewalk
in the radius portion between the curve ends (refer to the red
line on the attached sketch).
2. On the Eisenhower Drive frontage, the wall may continue north
,in the right of way to the south edge of the driveway on a
line that is 2' west of the right of way line. North of the
driveway, the wall must be located outside the right of way
(on private property).
3. On the Calle Arroba frontage, the wall must return to the'
right of way line shortly after passing the sidewalk curve BC
(beginning of curve). A reasonable transition zone is
permitted to allow for aesthetic effect in completing the wall
alignment from its location at the back of sidewalk to the
standard location adjacent to the right of way line (refer to
red line on the attached sketch).
4. In locations where the wall is outside the right of way (on
private property) the wall may be 6' high.
