abatement, encapsulation or removal of asbestos.or similar hazardous substances
including. mold, and or mildew. If Contractor encounters any, such products -
materials or conditions in the course of performing its work, or if suc-i hazardous
materials are encountered by any other firm.performirig work at the jobsite and
contractor determines that such materials present a hazard to its emplDyees,
contractor shall have the right to discontinue its work and remove its -employees
from •the jobsite until such products or materials, and any hazards coniected.:

that no hazard exists ( as'the case may require), and contractor shall r-ceive an

SURFACE PREPARATION }
A. Removal of the existing gravel by vacuum or power broom.
B. Remove any contaminants that will interfere with the total adhesion of sprayed
urethane foam to the substrate.
C. Damaged plywood will be replaced at an additional charge of $85.00 per sheet or
any portion thereof. Any plywood replacement'will be billed as a fi.ekl change
order.
APPLICATION OF POLYURETHANE FOAM AND COATING .
A. Roof deck shall be primed with Neoprime primer at the rate of .33 t-),.50 gallons
per 100 square feet..

B. Urethane foam insulation shall be sprayed -applied to a nominal thickness of 1"
(plus. or minus 1/4 inch). Only 3 lbs. density foam. will be used in this
application.
C. Coating shall be applied in a minimum of three (3) separate coats. -
1. The base and. intermediate coats shall be applied at a rate of 1.25 gallons
per 100 square feet.
2. The top coat shall be applied at a rate of 1.50 gallons per 100
square feet,
yielding a total system thickness for all three coats of 30-32 Total Dry
Mils.
3. During the final top coat application, size #11 granules will be embedded ,
into the wet top coat material at a rate of 50,pounds per 100 square feet.
Top coat color'to be Light Grey,
4. All foam is to be coated. Coating shall extend up and over all foamed vent
pipes and tenninated a minimum of 2 inches above .the foam, creating a
neat appearance, self -terminating flashing.
This specification meets manufacturer requirements, Underwriter Laboratory �
specifications and ICBG compliance.
WARRANTY
A Ten, (10) year material and labor'warranty will be issued upon completion of the roof
and final payment is received.
SKYLIGHTS: The skylights will be removed during the re -roofing process. Care
will be taken while removing the skylights, however, damage may occur -to the,
interior finish.. No repair to the,interior will be. made. Any repair work _ equired is
the Building Owner's responsibility. Debris will fall through the openings when the
skylights are removed. We suggest covering the area beneath'the openings with a
sheet or plastic sheeting. °
