Below are our responses to the corrections. 1. At the shear wall between bedroom 2 and bathroom 2, the water supply was installed centered on a stud. Due to the location, the stud was notched beyond the allowable limits per detail 7/SD5. We recommend installing a new stud each side of the copper pipes. 2. At the fireplace at the side of the great room, the inspector has stated the shear wall is not per detail 1/SD5 for penetrations in the sheathing and the 3x framing is not per sched / plan. The small diameter penetrations for lights we observed in the photos are about 12" from the ends of the shear wall and are acceptable. The remaining framing, specifically the use of 3x should be per the shear schedule and plan and detail 1/SD5. 3. The use of Tiberstrand studs at the entry foyer is acceptable. 4. The penetrations through the shear transfer above the walk in closet / master bathroom were addressed in a previous letter. Please provide to the building inspector. 5. The studs which have been notched or drilled beyond the allowed penetrations shown in detail 7/SD5 should be addressed. The studs should be replaced. If you have any questions, please c4) 547-1115 ext 102. (*I J.Sincerely,Patel Burica & Associates, Incc-57151 EXP .12-31-09 _ Michael J. Burica, P.E. l'T OFl CAUFa\P C.
