Final Design Review #2
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Camera,
This correspondence shall serve as notification that the Hideaway Design Review Committee (DRC)
reviewed your revised final working drawings as part of the May 5, 2015 meeting. The project was
approved to start construction subject to the following stipulations being addressed prig to pouring the
slab at the ot. The comments are as follows:
1. The landscape must transition to the adjacent lots and the golf course with a similar plant palette.
2. All exterior sconces and exterior landscape lighting cut sheets and specifications must be
submitted for review. The use of lights on the structure and within the landscape should be subtle
(for example, the use of three lights per tree will not be approved).
3. The steel trellis design was further reviewed but could not be approved as requested.
4. The landscape plans refer to other City approvals (not La Quinta) and refer to details that are not
applicable to this project. Please correct the landscape plans and resubmit.
5. There are Citrus trees proposed in the side yards which are in conflict with the proposed drain
locations.
6. The committee was unable to locate a gate detail (F-1) or wall details (W-1).
7. The pool coping may need to be wider than F as drawn. Please submit any changes to the
current design prior to installation in the field if changes are necessary.
8. The irrigation plan should be reviewed to make certain that overspray is limited. The use of a
smart irrigation clock and drought friendly irrigation heads is recommended.
9. Within the landscape plans, the legend details do not match the detail sheet.
Please contact Brook Marshall at 760-219-8057 or by email at DRCFacilitator@gmail.com with any
questions or to schedule your Pre Construction Meeting once a Building Permit has been issued.
Sincerely,
The Hideaway Design Review Committee
