This permit was issued for the conversion of an existing garage into a bonus room, the addition of A new garage, and new covered patio. These areas were valued at $58,582.00 according to the Building Department's usual fee structure, and the construction, plan review, mechanical, electrical, grading and strong motion instrumentation fees collected, were for hese improvements only. The retaining walls were less than'three feet in height, therefore no permit or fees were .required. The tennis court is considered flatwork which is also exempt from ]permits. The fees collected were attributable only to the scope of work that was completed. I would be pleased to show you as well as the Jones' how these fees are determined at your request. Units are applicable to expansion valve systems in cooling applications and check and expansion valve systems in heat pump applica- tions. Units have factory installed check and expansion valve. Optional field installed electric heaters are available in several sizes for additive heating capacity. CB19 models are applicable to up -flow or down -flow dis- charge air applications. Units are shipped for up -flow ap- plications and may easily be field converted to the down - flow position by turning the unit upside down and repositioning the coil, drip shields and cabinet access panel. Filters are notfurnished and mustbe provided bythe install- er. An optional side return air adapter with filter(s) is avail- able for up -flow applications only. CopelancP Compliant Scroll- Compressor— High efficiency com- pressor features durability, stea iy uniform suction flow, constant discharge flow, high volumetric efficiency, quiet operation and the ability to start under any system load. Use of the scroll compressor eliminates the need for accumula-or, crankcase heater, start capacitor and start relay. The compliant stroll type compressor is a simple compression concept design consisting of two involute spiral scrolls matched togetherto generate a series of crescent-shaped gas pockets between them. During cc mpression, one scroll is stationary while the other is allowed to orbit, not rotate, around the fixed one. As this motion occurs, gas is drawn into the outer pocket sealing off the o --)en passage. As the spiral moven-ent continues, the pockets between the scrolls are slowly pushed to the center of the scrolls while simultaneously be- ing reduced in volume. When the pocket reaches the center, the gas is now at high pressure and is foxed out of a port located in the center of the fixed scroll. During compress on, several pockets are being com- pressed simultaneously resulting in a smooth, nearly continuous com- pression cycle. Continuous fkank contact, maintained by centrift.gal force, minimizes gas leakage and maximizes efficiency. The scroll compressor is tolerant to the effects of liquid slugging and contEmi- nants. Should this occur, the scrolls separate and allow the liquid or con- taminants to be worked to the center and discharged. Low gas pulses during compression mininize operational sound level. Factory installed muffler in discharge lire, external to the compressor, pro- vides additional sound reduction. Motor is internally protected from excessive current and temperature. Discharge temperature thermostat protects compressor from high discharge temperature.
