Roof Trac TM Patent #6,360,491 The Original "Top -Down" PV Mounting System. Illustrated above is bow the Tile Trac® attachment seamlessly integrates with the Roof Trac' mounting system. Integrated with Tile Trac' attachments Thepatented Roof Trac' system installed with the Tile Trac® attachment method provides an ideal solution for mounting on a the roof. Tile Trac® reduces the possibility of broken tiles and leaking roofs, allowing the installer to make structural attachments to the roof rafter. The Roof Trac' installed with the Tile Trac' allows solar support rails N. -.,to be adjusted to compensate for uneven roofs. Roof Trac® & fast Jadc" protected under Patent #6,360,491 & Other patents pending. Tile Trac® protected under Patent #5,646,029. The Tile ftc® attachment system is the perfect base for surface mounting on composition roofs! It has over 10 sq. inches of base to prevent damaging delicate - composition sbingtes. , Patented Slide -N -Clamp System pfult✓SSluf Idl SOLAR products 7be Roof Rac" support rail was designed to conceal all attachment hardware. All conneclzons are made inside the support rail holden from view. All exposed aluminum is fully anodized to module manufacturer specifications. Fully integrated, and patented, clamping system actually changes the structural properties of the aluminum channel making it significantly stronger. This design allows solar modules to be installed at a lower profile to the roof providing a more aesthetically pleasing i?i&llation. Module clamps are specifically designed, extruded and engineered for each specific module frame. Our innovative clamping system provides inward tension on the module frame securing the laminate in the frame. Using a 3/16° drill bit and drill guide (FJ -Drill), drill pilot hole along the rafter center STEP 2: Remove the file by pushing and pulling. It is usually held in place by a small nail. Step 5: Insert the lag bob and washer through the Tileiracm and apply fresh compatible sealant to the base. STEP 3: Using an electronic stud finder (recommended), or other means, locate the rafter center. Mark a reference point on the file above. Step 6: Using a 1/2" socket, install the lag bolt until seated. Do not overtighten. The sealant should flow outward sealing any holes. Step 7: After bolting the base to the roof, slide the upper menage into the correct position under the am of the file. For Flat tile, slide the upper carriage near the middle of the file. Step 8: Replace the file by lining up the snap lines and mark the drill location accordingly. Step 10: Insert threaded stud through file and hand -tighten Step 11: Unbind nuts and remove from stud. Apply to engage with base. Bind two 3/8° nuts (included) using sealant around stud at file opening and compress 9/16° wrenches and tighten. with Stainless Steel flashing (included) until seated. Step 9: Using a 1/2° carbide drill bit and ROTARY HAMMER DRILL in hammer mode, drill through the file. See online video at www.prosolor.com for details. Step 12: Fasten rail with lower and upper 3/8" nuts/washers as shown. 'Not recommended For clay or slate files. ©Professional Solar Products, Inc. Mar. 2011.
