Dear Courtney: ^
The Community- Development Department has reviewed and approved your request to
hold four special events within The Hideaway Golf Club grounds., located at 80-349
Village Club Place. The events include a private party with live entertainment, food
and beverages for club member's of The Hideaway and their guests.. This approval is
granted under Section 9.100.140 of the La Quinta Zoning Code under the following _
findings and subject to the following Conditions of Approval:
FINDINGS:
1 . The event will not bedetrimental to'the health,, safety and general welfare of the.
community in the area of the proposed event.
2. There is adequate.area to conduct the event and.to accommodate the anticipated
attendance.
3. Sufficient parking will 'be provided for the anticipated attendance.
4. Food service operations have -been provided to the satisfaction of the. Health
Department.
5. Tire protection plans and facil'itie's have been provided.to the satisfaction of the
-Fire Marshal.
6. Security plans and facilities have been provided to the satisfaction of the Sheriff.
7. Public roadways providing access to the event are capable of'accommodating the
anticipated traffic volumes in areasonable and safe manner with minimal
disruption to local traffic circulation.

Conditions of Approval:
1 . The events are to be held on the following dates and times:
February 26-28, 2004, from 5:00 p.'m. to. 12:00 p.m. .
-March 27-28, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 p:m.
April 11, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to" 12:00 p.m.
April 29-30, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
May 9, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. -
,May 22, 2004 from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 P.M.
2. The events shall be .conducted as stipulated in the site plan submitted with the
application for the events.
3. The applicant shall obtain all other applicable permits such -as electrical, health
permits, alcohol, if required, from the appropriate agencyliesl.
4:. Roadways, parking areas, and pedestrian traffic aisles to other activities in the,
vicinity shall be' maintained accessible at all .times.
5. The site shall be left clean and in its original manner after every event. Trash
receptacles shall be provided so that trash/debris can be deposited accordingly.
6. The applicant shall meet all applicable requirements from the Fire Marshal and
Sheriff's Department.
7. Live music shall be limited to the hours of the event. Efforts should be made'to
attenuate sound so as not to impact surrounding -'residents and land uses.
8. By.. holding these events, the applicant agrees to' indemnify; defend and hold
harmless the City of La Quinta in the event.of any legal claim or litigation arising
out of the City's approval of this project. The City of ,La Quinta shall have the
right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion.
Adherence to these conditions as outlined herein, will ensure that adverse impacts to
` surrounding properties will be minimized. The. City may elect to add Conditions to this
application to.rnitigate any problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
