Please accept this letter as a follow-up to our phone
•conversation yesterday, August 5, 1993, about your retaining
:'wall condition.
After visiting your home, I am comfortable with how the wall
will perform upon completion. It is an accepted practice to
retain earth with a wall, then slope from the wall at no
more than a 2 to l grade to the.property line.
From a,,structural standpoint your wall will perform as
designed. However, I believe if there is too much fill
behind the wall,. the earth will have'a tendency to'end up on
:your cool decking,.and on into the pool. This could over
time, have maintenance issue resulting from accumulating
sand/earth in the pool:
