To Whom It May Concern,
Plans, documents and detailing have been submitted for the noted project to the City's Department of Building and Safety for plan
check review and approval for building permit issuance. I am informed by Jose Reynoso of JHR Construction Services [acting on
behalf of the Legacy Home Owners Association (HOA)] that the permit is ready for issuance pending the following and I quote his
E-mail to me: °GLS to provide a detail letter with specifications of (the) file to be used and a guarantee from the architect that
(the) file to be used is a non-slippery when wet" Responding to this request I, in tum, contacted the contractor, 0 B General
Contracting (the contractor), that the HOA has retained to perform the refurbishing work, and have received from him the
following:
The treads will be covered with 'Lincoln paver tiles
The pavers will be sealed using'Glaze'n Seal's' Me>acan Tile Sealer
The sealer will, during the application process, receive 'Glaze 'n Seal's" slit) resistant additive f
I am herewith supplying a copy of the sealant and additive manufacturer's product and performance data. I am also attaching the
cover letter I received from the contractor, substantiating the products he will be using.
The quote from Jose Reynoso required a'guarantee for the architea..'. This is obviously in error. I am neither the manufacturer
of any of the noted products nor am I the installer.. I am, in fact, not even the specifier. The products and related information were
arrived at by the contractor in conjunction with the HOA. Specifics regarding the products used were purposely left out in order to
provide the HOA the greatest latitude in the subjective selection of the products in question-. ,

arrived at a substantial substrata installation. The methods of installation of the substrata that will receive the file finishes were
depicted in the record permit documents and they do meet with my acceptance and is appropriate to better protect the stair
structure from water intrusion and further damage. I also herewith state I find the submitted product specifications and data to be
acceptable me high quality, durability and appropriateness for the proposed installation.
