This family of single-phase string
inverters complements the typical
number of rooftop solar panels
enabling homeowners to get the most
efficient energy harvesting for the size
of the property.
This inverter offers a dual input
section that processes two strings
with independent Multiple Power Point
Tracking (MPPT).
This is especially useful for rooftop
installations with two different
orientations from two sub -arrays
oriented in different directions, or
unbalanced strings (for example: East
and West).
The dual -input sections with
independent MPPT enable a more
optimal energy harvesting condition.
The high-speed MPPT offers real-
time power tracking and improved
energy harvesting.
The flat efficiency curve ensures high -
efficiency at all output levels allowing
a consistent and stable performance
across the entire input voltage and
output power range.
The transformerless operation gives the
highest efficiency of up to 97.0 percent.
The wide input voltage range makes
the inverter suitable to low-power
installations with reduced string size.
This rugged, outdoor inverter has
been designed to be a completely
sealed unit, to withstand the harshest
environmental conditions.
Highlights:
— Single-phase and three-phase output
grid connection
— Wide input -voltage range for
increased stringing flexibility and
energy harvesting
— The high-speed and precise MPPT
algorithm offers real-time power
tracking and improved energy
harvesting
— Outdoor NEMA 4X rated enclosure

Simplified Grounding
For Greater Safety & Lower Cost
Traditionally, solar modules are grounded by attaching
lugs, bolts or clips to the module frame, then connecting
these to a copper conductor that runs throughout the
array. This process adds time and cost to the installation,
and often results in improper grounding, creating
significant long-term safety risks.
The IronRidge Integrated Grounding System solves these
challenges by bonding modules directly to the mounting
rails. This approach eliminates separate module
grounding hardware, and it creates many parallel
grounding paths throughout the array, providing
greater safety for system owners.

Tech Brief
integrated Grounding System
Grounding Mid Clamp
Each Grounding Mid Clamp pierces through the
anodized coatings of both the module frame and
the mounting rail to form secure electrical bonds,
which are repeated throughout the array.
Installation Overview
Fil Install Roof Attachments
• Install appropriate roof flashing and/or standoff for roof type
• Attach L -Feet to flashing or standoff.
® Prepare Rail Connections
• Insert splice into first rail, then secure with Grounding Strap and
self -drilling screw.
• Slide second rail over splice, then secure with opposite end of
Grounding Strap and self -drilling screw.
❑0 Mount & Ground Rails
• Attach rails to L -Feet and level rails.
• Install one Grounding Lug per row of modules.
• Connect Grounding Lug to grounding conductor.
Fe Install Modules & Clamps
• Install first module using End Clamps and Grounding Mid Clamps.
• Install additional modules using Grounding Mid Clamps.

Testing & Certification
The IronRidge Integrated Grounding
System has been tested and certified to
UL 2703 by Intertek Group plc.
UL 2703 is a proposed UL standard
for evaluating solar module mounting
and clamping devices. It ensures these
devices will maintain strong electrical and
mechanical connections over an extended
period of time in extreme outdoor
environments.

See Exhibit A — attached.
The Tilt Leg Mounting System allows the solar modules to be supported at an angle to the underlying
iuuf structure. Thc systcm consist:a of (2) rowo of stub poste (roof attachments) attanhed to the roof
framing. A short extruded aluminum tilt leg is attached to each of the U -buckets on top of the roof
attachments along the low side of the module array. A longer tilt leg is attached to each of the U -
brackets along the high side. The length of the low side tilt leg is constant and independent of the tilt
angle. The length of the high side tilt leg determines the tilt angle. The IronRidge Standard rails span
horizontally between the tilt legs.
All loads ate transferred to the roof' training thwugh rho tilt legs And roof attachmonto by uirnplu bi
axial flexure of the rails. The maximum span of the rails is governed by either the mid -span flexural
stresses or the deflection requirement that the rail or the solar modules not come into contact with the
roof. Lateral loads are resisted by the roof attachments and their attachment to the underlying roof
framing.
The. e?ffent of snismir, loads (for all design categories A -f) have been determined to be less than the
effect due to wind loans in all Inari nnnrlitinns and combinations. Therefure, the ntaxilllutir allowable
spans for common load cases due to wind and snow are shown in Tables 1 through 4 below.

Notes — Tabulated values are based on the following criteria:
1. Building mean roof height = 30 ft
2. Risk Category I
3. Module tilt is measured as the angle between the module and 0 degrees (horizontal).
4. For reverse tilt applications module tilt is measured as the angle between the module
and the roof slope and is limited to regions with 0 psf snow load requirements.
5. Solar module long dimension = 67.5 in and 40 in short dimension
6. Provide 2 in. min. clear between roof and rail
7. End cantilever span (max) = 0.40 x maximum span from tables above
8. No rail splices in end spans
9. No rail splices in middle 1/3 of interior spans
1.0. Single simple span(s). Spans listed in the tables above may be multiplied by 1.08 for
continuous rails of 3 or more spans.
The rails, including the connections and associated hardware, are to be installed in a workmanlike
manner in accordance with the "IronRidge Roof Mount Installation Manual" by IronRidge and
generally accepted standards of construction practice. Additional information, including the
requirements for the full range of configurations, is available at the IronRidge web site,
IronRidge.com. Verification of PV Module capacity to support the loads associated with the given
array shall be the responsibility of the Contractor or Owner and not IronRidge or Starling Madison
Lofquist.
The adequacy of the supporting roof framing is to be determined by others.

the two penetration points with either a pen or light drill-

Product Description
Dural -ink is an extremely elastic moisture curing
sealant designed for use in residential siding, metal
architecture, curtain wall construction and joints
subject to movement. Dural -ink's adhesion to
difficult surfaces permits its use on anodized metal
and coatings such as Kynar 500® PVDF. Dural -ink
will not stain absorbent stone substrates like
limestone or marble. Dural -ink's unique polyether
chemistry eliminates out -gassing on green concrete
and protects against "sun tanning" or discoloration
when exposed to ultraviolet light.

ENERGY
The LGate 120 combines a revenue -grade, solid-state power meter with an advanced communications gateway.
These components work in conjunction to remotely monitor the performance of residential solar energy installation
regardless of panel or inverter type. The LGate 120 is a one-piece completely under glass meter which installs
easily using a standard socket base. Performance data is uploaded in near real-time to the Locus Energy SolarOS
monitoring platform which provides a suite of tools and analytics for asset managers.
DATA COLLECTION
AC energy data is collected by the meter and passed to the communications module. Additional system performance
data can be collected directly from meteorological sensors and supported inverters via available RS -485 or Zigbee
connections. All data is stored in non-volatile memory and then automatically uploaded to the SolarOS and
SolarNOC platforms.
NETWORK CONNECTIVITY
The communications gateway inside the LGate 120 supports plug and play connectivity through a cellular or available
Ethernet network connection. Once the unit is installed and powered on, it will immediately begin transmitting data
without any configuration. For maximum reliability, the communications gateway will automatically route uploads
between the wireless and wired connections if either of the networks are unavailable.

October 22"d, 2013
This letter is to certify that the LGate 120 and LGate 320 are communication boards built into the Vision
Meter 2S CL200 and 16S CL320 socket meters, respectively. Each of these meters was certified to the
ANSI C12.20 (class 0.2%) standard by Underwriters Laboratory on June 7, 2013 as part of the Vision
Meter Family (Project Number 12CA71134, Job Number 1001541515, and Report Number R12CA71134-
ANSI).
ANSI C12.20 is currently recognized as the industry standard for electrical socket meters in both utility
and PV monitoring applications. These tests cover both meter accuracy as well as several safety
standards including electrical and environmental safety, as well as resistance to various types of
mechanical shock. As electrical socket meters are generally installed and maintained by trained and.
certified professionals, rather than consumers, they do not fit the typical criteria for additional types of
UL or IEC certification.
If you have any further questions regarding the product certification of any Locus Energy LGate-branded
device, please contact us at support@locusenergy.com.
