(LEI) has evaluated the existing roof framing design drawings for the above referenced project to determine whether the existing,roof structure can support the proposed roof mounted solar array system. Our review is based on the following drawings: existing roof structure per sheet S-111 prepared by B & B Associates and dated 8/7/2015; the proposed racking layout drawings, sheet PC -2 prepared by PanelClaw, Inc. and dated 3/3/2016; and technical information provided by PanelClaw, Inc. for the PolarBear III I OD racking system. Larson Engineering based their determination of the loads on the California Building Code 2013, and SEAOC PV -1 and PV -2, as well as the drawings noted above. Per the calculations performed by LEI, we have determined that the existing roof structure is adequate to support the proposed roof mounted solar array system.
