Fire Department personnel have reviewed and have approve the plans youu subnutted foATWAT
above referenced project. Please be advised the following conditions apply asa. part of the
conditions for the issuance of a building permit.
The following conditions must be met prior to occupancy:
Deferred Submittals Required:
*No deferred submittals warranted.
Buildings/facilities
1) Provide keys to the tenant space for inclusion in the main building Knox Box. Key(s) shall
have durable and legible tags affixed for identification of the correlating tenant space.
2) Approved building address shall be placed in such a position as to be plainly visible and
legible from the street and rear access if applicable. Building address numbers shall be a
minimum of 12". Minimum 6" tall suite addressing shall be provided to both the front and
rear entrances. All addressing must be legible and of a contrasting color with the background
and adequately illuminated to be visible from the street at all hours.
Other requirements:
1) Install portable fire extinguishers per Title 19, but not less than 2AlOBC in rating. All new
and existing portable fire extinguishers shall have current annual servicing performed and
tagged.
2) Applicable room door(s) shall be posted ELECTRICAL, FACP, FIRE RISER and ROOF
ACCESS on the outside of the door so it is visible and in a contrasting color.
3) A durable sign stating "This door to remain unlocked during business hours" shall be placed
on or adjacent to the front exit doors. The sign shall be in letters not less than one inch high
on a contrasting background.
4) Illuminated Exit Signage and Egress Illumination placement and functional test will be
'witnessed by OFM Fire Inspector at time of final inspection.
The Fire Department approved plans and conditions letter must be at the job site or NO inspection
will be performed.
Applicant/installer shall be responsible to contact the Fire Department to schedule inspections.
Requests for inspections are to be made at least 72 hours in advance and may be arranged by
calling (760)863-8886.
SUBJECT TO FIELD INSPECTION - Nothing in our review shall be construed as encompassing
structural integrity. Review of this plan does not authorize or approve any omission or deviation
from all applicable regulations. Final approval is subject to field inspection.
All questions regarding the meaning of these conditions should be referred to the Office of the Fire
Marshal staff at (760)863-8886.

O Use this section to document and calculate additional lighting power for wall display, floor display, task ornamental, special effects, or very valuable display case lighting.
• The additional lighting power allowance shall be the smaller of the allowed lighting power or the actual lighting power used.
O These additional lighting power allowances shall not be available when using §140.6(c)3H to determine the general lighting power allowance, when using the Complete
Building Method, or for any areas using the Area Category Method.

0-2. Additional allowed lighting power for combined floor display and task lighting
❑ Displays that are installed against a wall shall not qualify for the floor display lighting power allowances.
❑ Lighting internal to display cases shall be counted EITHER as floor display lighting in accordance with §140.6(c)3J; or as very valuable display case lighting in accordance with §140.6(c)3Liii and iv.
❑ Additional allowed pourer for floor display lighting, and -additional allowed power for task lighting, may be used by qualifying floor display lighting systems, qualifying task lighting systems, or a
combination of both, for floor areas qualifying for both floor display and task lighting power atlawances, the additional allowed power shall be used only once for the same floor area, so that
the allowance shall not be additive.
❑ Qualifying floor display lighting complies With the applicable provision in §140.6(c)3J(v and vi).
10 Additional allowed power for a combination of floor display fighting and task lighting shall be available only for (1) floors having floor displays. or (11) floors not having floor displays but having
tasks having illuminance recommendations that appear in the Tenth Edition of the IES Lighting Handbook and that aro higher than the general lighting level in column 2 of TABLE 140.6-D. The
square footage of floor display or the square footage of task areas shall be determined in accordance with §140.61c)3C and D, except that any floor area designed to not have floor displays or
tasks, such as floor areas designated as a path of egress, shall not be included for the floor display allowance.

B Qualifying ornamental lighting includes luminaires such as chandeliers, sconces, lanterns, neon and cold cathode, light emitting diodes, theatrical projectors, moving lights,
and light color panels when any of those lights are used in a decorative manner that does not serve as display lighting or general lighting.
