Be sure that all Door Locking Control Switches (#11) are in the down position; that is, pointed towards the bottom of the Operators Console as shown below. NOTE: When the switches are in the proper position and no one is the ECS, the RED Indicator Lights for Doors 2 and 4 will illuminate as shown. Pre -Closing / Pre -Opening Pro To control access into the bi using the Operators Console, move the respective switch (#11.) "up" for the Exterior Entrance Door (Door 1) as shown on the right. Both Entrance LED indicator lights will change from REIT YELLOW. Entrance to the branch be permitted by moving the sr, switch back to the "down" posit allowing the magnetic door lock release. If you should happen to set off the detection system (weapons detector and/or multiple persons alarm) without having a wireless switch with you, the interior door of the entrance portal will lock preventing you from entering inside. In the event that you find yourself in this predicament, stand in the entrance portal between the weapons detector and the interior door. The ECS will reset itself after 15 minutes of.inactivity. You will then be able to re=enter the branch after the time period ,has elapsed. Page 3 of 3 :i,Y N Introduction This abbreviated manual covers the components of the Hamilton Safe Entrance Control System (ECS) Operators Console. 1. Intercom Microphone - Communicates with persons inside the entrance portal of the ECS. 2. Communication Line - The main connection line for all components of the system. 3. Intercom Power Line -Supplies power for the intercom system. 4. Intercom Volume Control - Controls the volume for the console speaker. 5. Intercom Light - This light is GREEN when the intercom is in use. The light flashes RED when someone pushes the handicap assistance button on the outside of the ECS. 6. Intercom Button - Push this button to turn the intercom on or off. When the intercom is in the "on" position, the light above the button will turn GREEN. 7. Multiple Persons Indicator Light - This light will flash RED, and a warning chime will sound, When more than one person is in the entrance portal and at least one of them have passed through the weapons detector. Whether or not the Weapons Detector is activated is immaterial. The Multiple Persons feature operates independently of the Weapons Detection feature. When the Multiple Persons light is flashing RED, the unit must be reset by pressing the Admit Switch/Override Button (#8) or a Wireless Remote Release Switch (#13) before entrance is allowed. (Note: System will not alarm if multiple people go through the weapons detector and pass - This allows customers with smaA'children through as well as two customers providing they both go through weapons detector without an alarm) 8. Admit Switch/Reset - This button will release the interior door lock of the entrance portal and allow entrance into the branch. - This button overrides both the weapons detection system and multiple persons detection system. Bank Policies should be followed whenever using this button. 9. Weapons Detector Indicator Light - This light will flash RED when a weapon or excessive mass of metal is detected. Bank Policies should be followed when this occurs. This feature operates independently of the Multiple Persons Detection feature. 10. Door Lock_ Indicator Lights - When illuminated RED when locked automatically and fYELLOW whenmanually tocked, "each'`light_(four total) indicates its corresponding door status, 11. Door Locking Control Switches - These switches can be used to manually activate the magnetic locks on each door. When in the "up" position (manually locked -YELLOW light will tie on), the door is locked • regardless of the state of the ECS. All switches must be in the "down" position (normal - RED when locked by system) for proper operation of the ECS. 12. All Doors Magnetic Lock Release Switch (Located on back of console - A YELLOW warning light will continue to flash while all the doors are unlocked) 13. Wireless Remote Release Switch - This wireless pendant performs the same function as the Admit Switch/Override Button (#8) except that it is not physically located on the Operators Console and can be activated from virtually anywhere inside the branch. 14. Main Power switch. Push in to activate (Will be lit up when turned on). Push in and release .to turn off. - This will allow use of manual locks in the doors of the ECS at the end of each work day.
