Hello Mr. Greenan,
We intend to pull a demolition permit from the City of La Quinta, that will allow us to do
all the necessary "prep work". to give us a bit of a head start on your project. I have
personally spoken to Steve Herthel of the HOA and received his approval for us to start
when the HOA approval is complete (anticipated tomorrow). The City of La Quinta does
have some very specific regulations regarding demolition. Even though all we will be
doing is removing plaster/glass, et cetera,.they require the property owner to write a
letter.to the Building Department with words to the effect "As the owner of the property
at 56-242 Pebble Beach, La Quinta, CA, I authorize Bob Edwards Construction to
obtain a demolition permit in preparation for the Atrium Conversion that has plans
currently being reviewed by the Building Department,".
If you could prepare a short note to that affect, and either e-mail it to me or fax it to 760-
777-1139 it would be appreciated. If you have easy access to a grant deed or tax bill for
the property please also send it; but if not easily accessible, I can take care of that detail
from this end.
The plans are nearing completion of the initial plan review, and we will do ou11 r best to
work as expediently as possible. Please let.me know.if you have any questions. .
