The roof trusses will allow for the load imposed by the 42" tall parapet wall. The loading applied to the trusses is based upon a uniformly distributed dead load for construction materials. The top chord of the truss is rated at 10 pounds per square foot of dead load along its entire length. The actual materials applied to the top chord include the composition roofing material (4.5 psf), the weight of the plywood sheathing (1.5 psf) and the weight of the trusses which is omitted from the loaded capacity.
