NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of La Quinta Planning Commission will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on June 12,
2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the La Quinta City Hall Council Chambers, 78-495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta, California, on the
following item:

REQUEST: ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO
SECTION 9.50.090 OF THE LA QUINU MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADOPT SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN GUIDELINES
CEQA: THE PROPOSED ZONING CODE AMENDMENTS ARE EXEMPT FROM ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW UNDER
CEQA, PURSUANT TO SECTION 15061(B)(3), REVIEW FOR EXEMPTIONS — GENERAL RULE
The Design and Development Department has determined that the proposed zone text amendmW is exempt from
environmental review under GEQA, pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3), Review for Exemptions — General Rule, in that it
can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility for this action to have a sfgniflcant effect on the environment, and
individual development plans will be reviewed under CEGA as they are proposed. The La Quinta Planning Commission
will consider this determination at the Hearing.
Any person may submit written comments on any of the contemplated actions listed above to the Design and
Development Department prior to the Hearing and/or may appear and be heard In support of, or opposition to, the
project at the time of the Hearing. If you'chailenge the decision of any of the actions listed above In court, you may
be ilmited to raising only those issues that you or someone else raised either at the.Public Hearing or in written
correspondence delivered to the Design and Development Department at, or prior to the Public Hearing. The proposed
fifes may be viewed by the publlc Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m, to 5:30 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00
p.m., at the Oeslgn and Development Department, La Quinta City Hall, 78-495 Cal le Tam pi co, La Dointa, California. For
