The tent will be anchored to the concrete with previously installed "Red Head" Anchors. For the base plates that are connected to the beams the actual uplift that must be resisted is 1,040 pounds (at ASD level). There will be 2-5/8" Red Head Trubolt Wedge anchors at each base plate with a total allowable load for tension of 8,430 pounds (at ASD level) therefore the connection is satisfactory. For the connection of the guys (ratcheted web straps) that are connected to the beam at a 45 degree angle, the actual uplift that must be resisted is 3,980 pounds (at ASD level). Therefore the forces to the Red Head anchor would be 2,814 in shear and tension. For 5/8" diameter Read Head Trubolt Wedge anchors with 4" embedment, the allowable shear is 5,876 pounds and the allowable tension is 4,300 pounds (at ASD level). There will be one anchor at each guy connection which is more than sufficient to resist the design loads. The Red Head anchors shall be installed per the manufacturers specifications and ICC-ES Evaluation Report number ESR-3772.
